"So, um...what are you doing, here?"

I ... I work here, Doctor River. Remember I interned here while I was taking Ethics of Elective Surgery last Summer?
Derpus is always forced to lean backward by his hunchfront, so looking up at Ruby isn't a big problem.

Malaria considers the crystal. "Looks like it could be powerful or dangerous. I'd keep it wrapped up in that burlap sack when its not being investigated, and recommend that all non-essential personnel keep a safe distance while somebody else is prodding it. Other than that, you are all free to experiment with the thing as you see fit. I'm going out to do my weekly rounds. Keep me posted on what you all find."

Malaria heads out to town and the outlying farms to talk to local farmers and veggie merchants to hear the latest gossip and offer her advice where needed.

Hmm I think this might be heresy guys this looks like it has a demon inside it I think. Ive never seen a Demon before I think it is a demon we should destroy it. Aww who am I kidding imagine having a pet demon taking it on walks aww that would be great maybe it would look like a frog. I love frogs. Well the farmer fellow said his horses were scared of this thing wonder if thats true for all animals. We will need cages to hold test subjects as well I will get on that. Go to town Acquire 3 small wooden cages, Attempt to capture Frogs, Rats, and a Cat After the animal is captured hold it close to the object and observe the reaction.

I'll come with you, Searchy. I've got business in town anyway.

Meet with some of my informants, to keep myself properly briefed on down-low sorts of things.

Septimus will use his knowledge of optics to prepare a magnifying lens, with which to closely observe the specimen.

Name: Lummelico Rodrigo
Description: A man with brown skincolour and long black hair, as well as a black beard.
Skill: Botany

I wake up from my siesta and ask Septimus: "Good Sir, do you happen to know where I could get glasspanels? I am trying to construct a greenhouse."
Then I go to Sergej and ask him: "Could you help to construct a greenhouse, so we can start growing herbs of great qualities?"

Alexei brings forward a few pieces of stones.

Maybe we can test how strong it is.

No problem.

Using the crude tools Alexei fashions the stones into regular shapes like bricks.

These should serve as the pillars as he piled them up, but he got no mortar.

--Can we all preface our actions with our character names? I have no idea who is who.--

Derpus: I will also go out and help capture small animals, which seems like an appropriate henchman activity.

Lummelico:
Buy some mortar while you are at it, and start building the greenhouse after the instructions of Alexei.
