Recommendation against playing or at the very least, giving them any money.
(At least one) Admin is two-faced when addressing any questions of merit.
I asked, in general, if anyone had any real, or at least relative, numbers on finding officers in forays.
A256 comes out with the game rewards risk. Total non-answer. I call it, as such, and he cites me as breaking a rule that involves personal attacks.
Also cites me for calling someone a smartass (obviously in a joking manner, like almost all game chat.)

Wanted to be an asset, but can't stand for that level of BS from the people in charge of the game.
I'm better off without it or them.

That being said, hope y'all enjoy it for what it's worth.

I got the chatlogs. There wasn't any BS from the Admins, you just weren't following the rules. And even then they were willing to work with you but you ASKED to be banned.

Star Pirates has good admins and moderators, they make the game environment fun for all.

Wish we could have had your strength with us. We are still a bit short on strong active players to go warring. :(

I think I made a mistake by investing all 600k of my credits in the stock market. I hadn't been observing it for long before I sunk my money into two (apparently awful) companies, Warped Rum Enterprises Inc. and Galactic Credit Bank Inc. Ah well.. at least I'll be able to overpower any fellow frigates that decide to attack me. I may be overleveled for my ship, but I've been keeping up with research for the most part.

Speaking of research, is it valid to pump weapons and shields, and to make up for terrible engine research by sticking on some high leveled thrusters? Right now I fight without any installed drive units at all. I only equip drive units when I go on salvage forays. Seems to be working fairly well.

Also, yes, we need more ratties unscrupulous pirates to join our fleet. Come represent our game enthusiast community in an imaginary fleet! You know you want to see [D20] next to your handle.

Let me know if you do sign up and decide to play for a bit. That goes for anyone else, too. I'll point you in the direction of our armory and/or send you some things, and fill you in on how to equip them.

So it turns out I have a 4 year old account. Nothing special, Cruiser MK1 and like 40k, but I don't remember anything about the game.

Anyways, in game name is Fikes.

You can actually re-enable the tutorial if you like.

One cool thing they have added since you played is commissions.

How in the world do you raid someone? Whenever I attack someone and they have money in their cargo I never seem to get any of it.  :-\

Raiding is hard, very hard, because there are persons with a lot of engine research sitting on the cargo page refreshing as fast as they can, and the ship with the most engines and the fastest refresh wins.

There is literally a raid button. Costs fuel and just steals from them. No combat required.

Click on the username of your target and check on the button hub on their userpage, the one with "Friend" "Enemy" "Raid" "Attack" etc. I've raided players with 20k worth of cargo sitting out and have only gotten 500 of it. Maybe you get more with better engines, but it doesn't seem too profitable at my level, at least. Still fun though.

I'm not sure if I can invite players to the fleet or not, I can't find the option to do so.

Has nothing to do with stats. It's a fixed percentage.

Ah that makes sense. I guess there are badges associated with raiding x amount of total cargo and whatnot?
