Well... I couldn't manage the fighter of my dreams so I instead made a cleric with less intelligence than a brick. I'm not entirely sure if I did this right so please point out any and all errors with Doctor Sub-Brick. I've put him down as "Chaotic Evil" though I choose to interpret it more along the lines of "Barely more than an animal so just kinda operates off that". If that's a problem I can change it.
WIS bonus spells for Clerics give you whatever is on your WIS score and everything below it. So an 18 WIS gets an extra 2 1st, 2 2nd, 1 3rd, and 1 4th. In your case, you'd get the bonus spells for 13 WIS and 14 WIS, so you get two bonus 1st.

Dunno how Rem is gonna DM alignment: the old "you wouldn't do that because you're CE" or "you're doing too much stuff that isn't CE, here's your new alignment, also changing alignment comes with penalties", or just "act CE and you become CE, the main penalty being loss of henchmen and intelligent magic items that won't work for you anymore".

If your character is gonna be selfish and skeezy and willing to hurt others to get what he wants for himself, CE would be a good choice. But if he's just random or flighty, that's probably CN. If he's really just too dumb to philosophize and is easily controllable by strong personalities, "animal-like" as you described, acting more on instinct than thought, N or CN would probably be good.

How about this: what does he do when he finds something he doesn't understand? What about when he has power over someone vulnerable? If his first instinct is to smash and oppress, evil or chaotic would make sense. If he would investigate or help, lawful or good would make sense.

I think stupid-evil as CE or NE works though. You don't have to be smart to be a jerk.

I guess you could do any alignment with an animalistically-stupid character depending on how you roleplayed it.

As this point we might as well invoke interpretive dance and call it a day.

You choose.

I think he means how many of what levels.

I don't remember off the top of my head. But it's whatever is listed under 19 WIS and also all the bonus spells for lower Wisdoms. There is a point when it wraps around and starts giving 1st level bonuses again so it might be relevant.

Are you serious? Anyways I've changed his alignment to Neutral.

It's not out of the question. That's just how Chaotic Evil is. They'd attack each other if they felt like it.

Yeah, 18 WIZ gives you "4th" and 19 gives you "1st and 3rd", so would I have 3 bonus spells for first level?

Yeah. I just never remember the ones over 18 because I rarely have a Cleric that high :P Also the pattern goes 1-1-2-2-3-4 which for some reason is easy for me to remember, but the combo ones aren't. It's like knowing pi to 4 places ... better than you need most of the time.

Yep that's me.

Also I remember it wrong, as 3.14152627, and I don't know where I got that. Should just go for 3.1415926 and just drop the incorrect 27. Hopefully this little conversation will help me remember it better.

Pretty much if you remember 3.14 your calculations are gonna be close enough. If you're some kind of engineer or physicist, or a farmer planning an enormous field with a circular watering system and you need to know how many seeds you need to buy and how much water the field will use, you may want the next two digits.

Or a calculator with a pi button.

Cheater.

What are you gonna do when you're stuck on an island paradise without your fancy calculator and you gotta figure out the trajectory of the falling space station toilet seat because if you pick the wrong island to hide on you'll get exploded? What are you gonna do when you're transported back in time with no technology and there's an angry mob of primitive mathematicians who will accept you as their leader if you demonstrate your knowledge of the secrets of geometry but if you fail will tear you apart into 33 pieces of equal volume?!

All of these are completely rational possibilities.

How would pi come into play in the first case? And as for the second, just use the Pythagorean Theorem.

Also, both of your examples are insane.

Both examples illustrated two of the possible (some may say probable) pitfalls of over-reliance on calculators encouraging laziness in not being able to do things by hand. It wasn't specifically about pi.

And curse you, for I was also thinking about the Pythagorean Theorem when I used that example.

Have you heard that dumb pythagorean theorem joke?
