Wow days are short, I only managed to speak with a couple people and look around a guild house in an entire day.

I did post other actions at the bottom of page 1, unless I can't have my meetings until the next day?

The guildmasters told you they will 'do something about that' so you kinda have to wait for a sign from them :P

That was why I wanted to remind them, hoped for better luck then the 1 I rolled the first time lol.

I'm likely to over react and set out to destroy the guild if they don't show up by the next afternoon. Merchants ain't hard to wipe out if you know how to hurt them.

You really need to tell us if you're going to be doing stuff like this. Just as a head's up.

I will, after I steal 1/4 of our money to buy a house without telling you. Welcome to life with Harvingel ;).

On a side note, this won't happen often it's just his way of showing he's capable of acting alone. Kind of audition mixed with being overly impatient.

Not exactly a huge house and I have lived in it a long time, fair bet I know the hiding spots by now.

But the deal is good anyway, we need the house, we get it in a day rather then 26 and we get 16% off. No down side and I need the skill reports so I can figure out what to do with my little company of criminals.

Because trying to stuff Fate/Whatever's engrish and the title of a 17th century book on statecraft into Pokemon syntax tends to make the content incomprehensible.

...

Patrick, we're in the mafia. The fucking mafia, Patrick. You do not steal from the Don without some kind of retribution. I am not joking here. Taking a little off of the side is perfectly fine, we all do that. Stealing from the Don, taking gold out of her personal coffers, is stealing of the worse kind. It shows that you are untrustworthy and will probably get your bumped off. I am 100% serious. We're in organized crime and if you can't be trusted completely then you'll probably die. It's that simple.

But the deal is good anyway, we need the house, we get it in a day rather then 26 and we get 16% off. No down side and I need the skill reports so I can figure out what to do with my little company of criminals.

Fucking ask for the money then. Personally I believe that buying the housing block is a good idea and I will give you the money, but only if you ask for it and not steal it out of my hands.

Sorry if I seem hostile, but we're the goddamn mafia. I cannot repeat that fact enough. We can't all go off and do our own thing else we're not much more than a group of thugs. So we all need to plan ahead and tell each other what we're going to be doing. I'm not saying that you can't do things on your own initiative, but if you're going to do something that'll affect all of us (like calling on the merchants for more than a friendly chat) or involves using our communal money, then you need to tell us beforehand so that we can give our opinions and insight. Communication is a key part of organization, and if we don't communicate we're going to crash and burn. It's as simple as that.

Yeah, I have no objections if Ilsumi will decide to off one of family members. She is the boss. And Taricus' guy happens to have 4 in Covert, too :P

Your not in the house though and the days about over. I want the house today so I can get the reports today and set the men to work in the morning which leaves me no other option but to take it unless we have phones.
Come to think of it Haspen, do we have phones?

Didn't you basically just say I can't do anything on my own initiative? I can do things as long as it has no risk and doesn't involve any use of mafia resources which basically means I can do nothing but basic things without having to ask you first.

Anyway I edited in the request for money. Has cost about 3 points out of the respect chart I've got for Harvingels attitude towards each member of the family towards you though.

In your case it's on the border between neutral and unhappy.
The others it's just neutral.

I wouldn't off Harvingels right away. However I would expect some kind of unequivocal show of loyalty from him...

I don't care. It's all about trust. If I can't trust you not to steal from me than I certainly can't trust you when the Watch comes knocking. And if I can't trust you when the Watch comes knocking, then I'll have no choice but to silence you to protect the business. It's a simple as that. Your life is not worth the 100 gold we'll save, so be patient and wait until I return. Worse comes to worse we'll look for another seller. So have some patience and wait for a bit.

Anyway I edited in the request for money. Has cost about 3 points out of the respect chart I've got for Harvingels attitude towards each member of the family towards you though.

*sigh*

Thank you Patrick. I'm sure I'll have the opportunity to regain your respect later.

Thats gonna be a lot more difficult then you think, at the moment I can think of exactly 1 thing you could do which would have any effect on his respect. Other then that he'll ignore it entirely or it'll make it even lower.
Harvingel has very very very few things that are important enough to him for it to have any effect and chief amongst them is his independence which is currently being about 80% denied by his aunt, so the respect-o-meter is far more likely to drop then rise.

Edit : And as predicted, telling him to do something an idiot would know dropping respect into the top end of unhappy.

Patrick, I'm not restricting your independence in anyway. But the 2000g is not your money, it's the family's money. And you don't take from the family's money without the Don's blessing.

Also I may or may not start using Yakuza terms for things. Don just doesn't seem elvish enough.

He can't do any important negotiations without permission, he can't spend money without permission.

Kind of cuts his independence since his skills are in negotiation and accounting both of which he needs permission for.

I didn't expect the respect loss to begin this soon.
