No. They gonna get fat burn anyways. Resulting in a bleeding.

Drake scales are fireproof and they can die in fires.

Oh yea totally forgot about fat burn.  I think I'l try getting a Tier 3 Fire mage or two in a squad and have all of them decked out in a layer of netherbark armor with mithril on top, if I can get it to layer like that.  Should provide pretty good survivability.  I'll have to look into runes too.  Wouldn't want any other effects from the fire mage spells causing my troops to run in fear or something like that.

I set their pop-ratio to 1 in my dev-version. No more fire-bearing migrants in the next release.
