Screw Junior.  Instead of paying some bloated amount for some fool, make me a necromancer either this round or next (I'm ok with waiting, if you don't want to give me a third life yet).

I guess Mini-Me knew that I secretly wanted to be a necromancer.  But robbing the "rich" to buy stuff for me is also good.

Nah, he just figured out how to get into the mausoleum to loot all of the lovely corpses in there. Mind you he's now dead, but details...

Whereas before I looted the gold from the dead, now I shall loot the dead themselves, BWAH HA HA!

Meanwhile, Sonlirain proves his intelligence by purchasing armor (still ignores life-saving healing potions though, as they are for the weak and unicorns), and then proves his stupidity by deciding to run off and take on Rrongol again.

While he was busy chopping away at the murderous git, Nirur stepped in and for the fourth goddamn time went berserk trying to kill Rrongol.  At least this time she wasn't completely alone and without her skeletal minions.

Two idiots and a massively powerful hunter.  The difference between these two is that Sonlirain thought it was a legitimately good idea while he was fighting, while Nirur was just rocking out metal berserker style and wasn't thinking at all.  Luckily for everyone, I had the time and money to sit there and babysit the fight, making sure Rrongol was debuffed and Sonlirain didn't die three times in that fight.

Slurp shit in hell, face-fart.

So other than Url Shekk and Rrongol, any interesting enemies randomly popping in?  Medusa?  Dragons?  A bear in an ill-fitting sweater?

No dragons, thankfully, and haven't noticed any medusae.  Trolls have started ninja-smoking their way into our vulnerably bits and there is now pretty much a constant (albeit light and manageable) stream of ratmen and giant rats poofing up from the sewers.  Most of the visible enemies on the map right now are vampires, actually, and they're causing their own problems for the champions silly enough to venture out that far.  Beyond that, not a whole lot is actually happening.

Priestess of Death: EuchreJane!

The problem with this is that you're still in the mausoleum right now (you're the last one in there, I've been leaving you dead as punishment for your crimes, despite the fact that you were the cheapest to resurrect), and you'll be taking up a slot if I just leave you like that.  What I can do, however, is raise you from the dead just long enough to tell you to fuck off out of our kingdom, and then give you the priestess.  Costs a little extra gold, but seems totally worth it to me.

Everyone, meet the shadowbeast.  I don't need to introduce the shadowbeast to everyone, because they'll be doing that on their own within the next few seconds.

Shadowbeasts are very fast monsters on their own, but they possess an innate ability to make themselves move even faster.  They're capable of catching up to adepts, although because of how melee combat works in Majesty they still can't really do much of anything about it if the adept is running away.

They're not the most robust critters out there, but they do have their fair share of hitpoints.  They are, however, very good at evading attacks and causing severe amounts of damage with those razor-sharp claws and horns of theirs.

Of interesting note is that shadowbeasts count as undead, meaning that priestesses can charm them once they reach level 7.  This is something they're actually quite good at doing, as unlike vampires (also picture), shadowbeasts don't have an incredibly powerful/dangerous/irritating buff that lets them reflect all damaging magic spells back at their owner and negate any other spells.  As such, priestesses tend to do quite well for themselves once they reach higher levels on a map with shadowbeasts.

With the hunters dead, an era of peace descended upon the inhabitants of the small town...

...naw, just kidding.  Now there are packs of shadowbeasts and colonies of vampires all over the damned place, and people are still dying because everyone is an idiot.

Including me, apparently, because having an outpost as a palace won't even let you build temples to Lunord/Helia.  It'll let you build all the other temples just fine, but not those two.  Racists.

To help actually meet some of peoples requests, and to have a method of flushing our worrying surplus of gold on something, I have constructed an embassy.

This is an embassy.  It can serve as housing to two "homeless" heroes, and it can also be "opened" in order to passively spend money on trying to find experienced heroes to fill up your guilds.  An embassy will only stop doing this once you tell it to close again, or until all your guilds, embassies and outposts are full.

Heroes from an embassy are generally higher than level 1 when they come into your kingdom, and this is reflected in a greater cost when hiring them.  It also takes longer to call a hero through this method than to just recruit one at a guild yourself.

Anyways, requests are now properly open for any hero type, from gnomes to dwarves to paladins to barbarians.  Everyone's welcome, and I'll nab the first proper one to come through for you.  Otherwise, I'm just going to be immediately booting all unclaimed heroes that come through here, which is going to cost me a few metric fucktons of gold but I'll do it anyways because yeah.  I'm just that awesome.

Also we don't have quite as bad a problem with rampant death and hunters as we used to.

Part of that problem has been alleviated thanks to this newly-constructed building:

This is the sorcerer's abode, and serves no other purpose than to give me, the sovereign, some nifty spells to toss at the world.  You can only build one such tower, but it will provide you with a number of special abilities that have varied uses.  These differ from normal spells cast from a wizard's tower or a temple by having a cooldown period based on the spell, wherein the sorcerer must rest and recuperate before casting another spell.  And, also, by having the spells be hilariously expensive.

But, right off the bat, it provides me with one life-saver of a spell, "Change of Heart".  When cast on a hero, it immediately stops them from what they were doing and makes them do the opposite instead.  This really only works to change them from "running away" to "berserking" and vice versa.  This means that I can get that wimpy but powerful warrior to turn around and stand up for himself, letting him get some gold and experience out of the deal, or I can tell 2nd Fiddle for the umpteenth time that "No, planting yourself in the middle of a vampire gangbang so they can all leech the life out of you while you die pitifully is NOT a good battle strategy".

At higher levels the abode offers some very powerful and potentially game-changing spells, but for now we're quite content just to have what's offered here.

Anyways, if there's an unsupported hero type you'd like to request, now would be the time to do it (as there's now actually somewhat of a chance that they'll show up).

Can you build the library for me?
Maybe i will start buying those fancy red potions if i get a bit smarter.
(I assume that literature for WoDs is 100% picture books about buying weapons/armor and potions).

Oh wait... didn't libraries only work on new heroes?
Well build one anyway. Some spells will always come in handy for everyone smart enough to use them!.

Libraries do only work on heroes recruited after they're built, and we can't build one anyways because you need a wizard's tower in order to build a library, and...  Yeah.  Outpost.

First hero out the gate is a barbarian, by the by.

I'd be happy to be recruited as whatever hero looks good at the time.

Gate.

"Oh, you're an epic-power monster of incredible danger, with insane hitpoints and resistances? I cast Summon ALL THE FUCKING HEROES ALL AT ONCE. This is after I put a 25000 coin bounty on you, naturally. Good luck! Sure, half the heroes are going to bolt like cowards... But then you still have HALF THE HEROES IN THE KINGDOM TO DEAL WITH."

Since we have the embassy, I'll take a Moon Adept, Sun Priestess, Dwarf, or Elf when one becomes available. Name can be Reives regardless.

I see I was pretty close to those shadowbeasts, and you said that they're fast. I assume I didn't die since you didn't mention it but... did I?

Nah, you did not.  On the one hand you're pretty rockin' for a ranger, and on the other hand you're not criminally stupid so you actually turned around and ran like hell when things started going particularly poorly.

That, and I kept you alive via healing spells.
