Evil Genius:

Your minions are the most chill people ever. Enemy secret agent walking into the base, no problem. Enemy strike team is destroying sentries, no reaction. But a briefcase dropped in the middle of a firefight must be grabbed immediately. Ok fine, it does several thousand dollars worth of gold, but still.

Also traps killing more of your units than enemy units, and some slight pacing issues.

I already mentioned it in another thread, but GOD, Vampire The Masquerade: Bloodlines sewer level is utterly awful.

First of, to get into there in the first place, you have to get through another mission filled with annoyingly fast, small enemies that deal Aggravated damage (all damage in the game regenerates, but Aggravated takes much longer to heal), topped off with a boss fight with a boss that spawns more of said goddamned things.

Then, without having an opportunity to resupply back in town, you are immediately taken to a four-level (i.e. loading-screen) long gauntlet, filled with YET MORE of said enemies, then you meet a miniboss which becomes a common enemy IN THE EXACT SAME LEVEL, then you meet another miniboss, this time even with a proper boss health bar and everything, WHICH ALSO BECOMES A COMMON ENEMY IN THE VERY NEXT LEVEL.

It is also bland as hell, taking place in, y'know, a sewer, and filled with dead ends filled with enemies, so if you make a wrong turn you have to fight more enemies AND backtrack (and the game doesn't award you with XP for killing, but for finishing quests, so it doesn't benefit you at all).

Oh, and it's 100% combat, maaaaaaaybe stealth a bit, so if you built a Social character, you are screwed.

Fallout 1 and 2 - too big battles for their turn-based system. Fallout 2 in particular was guilty of this by introducing the mantis swarm, the most tedious and pointless encounter ever, though FO1 was also an offender with how the Boneyard battle went on forever even with animations all the way up (cause only walking animations were affected). But at least it was one instance compared to FO2s many.

Ultima 7 - the combat. The first Ultima to have real-time combat, and it wasn't great. It didn't break the game, just made combat rather unmanageable and more a matter of preparation, I'd say.

Awesomenauts - terrible matchmaking that puts you against premades (teams of people who make a specific composition and strategy before the game starts) while you're casually solo-queuing. Add in terrible teammates, lag issues and some occasional lack of balance and now you know why people call this SoloQQ.

Team Fortress 2 - Spies. Snipers and to a lesser extent Engineers. In particular the Snipers.
I AM TIRED OF THIS SKILLLESS INSTAKILLING FROM ACROSS THE MAP I CAN'T REACT TO! The fact that there's 5 of them per team on a normal basis doesn't help, either. They're the very reason I stopped playing this game after 770 hours. (769, alright, but w/e)

Crackdown 2. Brilliant physics, driving, skill levels... Except for one fucking thing. STOP GIVING ME AOE WEAPONS AND 25O+ MPH CARS, AND THEN PUNISHING ME FOR ACCIDENTIALLY HITTING ONE CIVILIAN WHEN EVERY SINGLE FUCKING CIVILIAN IS RUNNING THROUGH THE ROAD AND DODGING INTO MY CARS LIKE FUCKING RETARDS. Sigh. I'm done.

The big problems with System Shock 2:

-Standard weapons are much more effective than anything else
-At least half of PSI skills are useless
-The end game is a little rushed

I remember when I was a kid, playing this co-op with my brother.

Me: I'm out of bullets!
Bro: Don't worry, I have my ice powers!
Me: It's going to get me!
Bro: Hold on, I'm still selecting my Psi-Amp.
Me: Shoot it!
Bro: I have to charge it!
Me: SHOOT IT!
Bro: If it doesn't charge enough then-
Me: SHOOT IT!
Bro: Aw, dang it, it overcharged.
Me: It's killing me! The wrench, it does nothing!
Bro: Hold on!
Me: I HAVE TWO HITPOINTS LEFT.
Bro: Oh wait, I'm out of Psi power.
Me: Welp, I'm dead. Oh, and there's another around the corner.

I'm starting to see a problem in Strife, one of my newer favorites. No matter how well you do in a given encounter, there's no way to come out ahead in terms of ammo.

The most common enemies take twice as many rifle shots to kill as they give back, and there aren't very many ammo pickups just floating around. Most of the tough robot enemies drop ammo for the flamethrower (which they're immune to AFAIK), when such an encounter would probably leave you sorely needing rocket ammo. And nothing in the game drops grenade or crossbow ammo, not that either of those are really helpful (the crossbow is mediocre at best, the grenade launcher is suicide).

Sounds like a conversation between two Final Fantasy characters...  :P

Cecil: Dang it Rydia, can't you cast Firaga already? This monster is practically immune to physical attacks!
Rydia: Hang on just a minute longer, I have to prepare the spell.
Cecil: Well gee, thanks! I guess I'll just have to keep spamming Cover for you then...
Rydia: Almost there...
Cecil: ARGH! Critical hit! Rosa, can you cure me?
Rosa: Sure thing, Cecil! Just let me ready my Curaga spell...
Cecil: ...

With regard to the Final Fantasy one, that's why you always set up Protect, Shell and Slow in the first three turns. All are quick casting White spells - Cecil can do Protect, Rosa does Slow, and next turn either one does Shell.

That way you have a significant amount more breathing room against tough or fast enemies - especially given that while most creatures are immune to Stop, nothing, not even the final boss is immune to Slow.

I personally find Air-blast as a good feature. You shouldn't really be running next to pyros anyways. The mini-sentry thing... Yeah okay, I don't know what they have already so *Shrug*

The flamethrower damage nerf seems a bit much. Enforcer damage probably. Why the Danger Shield nerf though?

Personally I would think that the Red Tape Recorder needs a nerf.
