Hmm. I think I need to power up again or something, my couch powers aren't doing what they used to.

Wait until my sleeves are untied, then crutch over to where River is and lightly kick him until he wakes up.

Hey Rover, wake up! I need your help and exposition.

((Alright, I've gotten some time to relax a bit in the past few days. I've caught up on whatever I've missed, so I'll try to post as quick as possible for the next few days due to upcoming finals and life shenanigans and whatnot.))

((Also, very late replies, because why not.))

Campaign

Zechariah stumbled backwards, disoriented from his experience. Though it left him quite exhausted, he was proud that he was able to muster the strength to help River out for as long he needed to revive Alan and Nikolai, especially considering that he didn't have his staff with him. Might it have been a stroke of luck? Maybe he managed to muster some willpower after all. Or, maybe he drew on some reserve power that would probably disadvantage him at a later point.

Who knows? He doesn't. The only thing Zechariah knows right now is that he is starving, dehydrated, and in need of sleep. Oh, sleep - what a wonderful thing. He called back to the days where he would suffer from severe sleep loss due to disorientation from being in the Medium for so long. It was like an extreme version of jet lag, only with the catch that you're not actually adjusting to a different time zone. He was zipping around different space-time continua and expecting to be able to sleep regularly. Of course, he eventually got used to it, but that doesn't undo the damage of insomnia.

He rubs his eyes and succumbs to fatigue, falling down and remaining supine. He groans and says weakly, "River? I'm... I'm gonna need some.. some rest. And food. And water. That took.. a lot out of me. I'm gonna need.. need a nap. For a day.. or two."

State my condition to River and attempt to sit up, facing him.

"Oh good, you're awake. Some mission we've been having, huh?"

(After helping Alan get untied) help Zech up and onto the couch.

Then disassemble the empty bag and get dressed. See if I can spare a piece of cloth to tie around my face like a mask.

((Sorry for the delay and not replying to your PMs. It's just that I've really not been in the proper mindset to update my notes and stuff so I've been postponing it as much as I can until I really have to do it.

It looks like the second chance round will end soon, so I might start a third mission then while our four finalists compete for the title. You can participate in that mission. So I'll write you in soon.

I've been a bit swamped this week with university stuff and preparing for a job interview and things are unlikely to improve next week but I'll try to at least make an update during the weekend.))

Campaign

Help untie Alan's sleeves.
You put your newly repaired hands to good use and help get Alan out of the tangled mess he got himself into.
Hmm. I think I need to power up again or something, my couch powers aren't doing what they used to.

Wait until my sleeves are untied, then crutch over to where River is and lightly kick him until he wakes up.

Hey Rover, wake up! I need your help and exposition.
You lift your giant sleeves and try to get them to stop dangling. You also try to tuck your shirt's back inside your pants so that you don't end up stepping on it. You look kinda like Mickey in the Sorcerer's Apprentice... after drowning his sorrows with booze, smokes and junk food for 30 years.

That done, you grab your crutch, get up from your couch and use your crutch to poke Rocky while stating your demands. He growls and shifts his tail and head a bit, but doesn't open his eyes.
<Make it quick. Or loose a limb.>

He was zipping around different space-time continua and expecting to be able to sleep regularly. Of course, he eventually got used to it, but that doesn't undo the damage of insomnia.

State my condition to River and attempt to sit up, facing him.
You sit up and face River. Even staying conscious takes some effort. Every time you blink and close your eyes, you have to remind yourself not to doze off.

River does not react to your words beyond moving his ears a bit, but he replies nonetheless.
<Yes. Tired. Sleep needed.>
He doesn't appear to be in a better state than you. His fur has lost its shine and has become matted where the blood from his broken leg has stained it. At least the bleeding appears to have mostly stopped.
<The energy here helps. Food is better.>
He's just lying there in his four-legged form, sleeping with one of his improvised bags as a pillow. Or at least trying to sleep. Alan's meddling seems to be preventing that at the moment. Which is probably why there is a bit of agitation mixed into the tiredness in his voice... wait, not voice... telepathy? Eh, magic is weird.
<Others can help. When they return.>

He rubs his eyes and succumbs to fatigue, falling down and remaining supine. He groans and says weakly, "River? I'm... I'm gonna need some.. some rest. And food. And water. That took.. a lot out of me. I'm gonna need.. need a nap. For a day.. or two."
"Oh good, you're awake. Some mission we've been having, huh?"

(After helping Alan get untied) help Zech up and onto the couch.

Then disassemble the empty bag and get dressed. See if I can spare a piece of cloth to tie around my face like a mask.

It takes some effort to disassemble the bag (Damn knots. What's wrong with a simple bow knot? And do they have to be so tight?) but you manage to do so and get some slightly singed clothes as a reward, which you promptly wear.

You rip a piece of cloth off a shirt and use it to form a mask. It's a bit too long, so you kinda look like you're wearing a scarf. Which with this heat is a bit out of place. Eh, whatever, you can pretend to be some sort of mysterious exotic traveller with a horrible fashion sense.

I might be better off being unconsious, but I don't know that, so I still need to wake up!
True, but your body does, and the dice say it says no.
Campaign, Ike!

Add more bandages. Just wrap it all up, eh?

Then follow that trail. Be ready for copious stabbing of wizards.

You completely mummify Irine using the bloody cloth taken from your enemies clothes, tightly wrapping her entire body in cloth like you have some kind of bondage fetish.
Foxes don't need to breathe that much, right? They can stay underwater for hours.
Or was that whales?
Nah, probably foxes.

That done, you grab your sword, heft the mummified Irine on your shoulder by the tail (good thing it's nice and hard) and follow Kassiver's trail. It's quite easy to do so. Even if the strong scent wasn't there, the blood and disturbed ground alone would be enough.

You don't have to follow the trail for long before you find him. First the blood drops in the trail lessen. Then you can see and smell marks of other humans next to him. And by the time you've reached the other side of the supply tent, you can see him.

He is no more than 10 metres away, being guided by an unarmed woman back towards the supply tent. He has obtained a small knife. There is a circle made of various grey line segments hovering a few millimetres above his eyes and ears, like someone started drawing a blindfold on him but neglected finishing it.
He is being escorted by a short man with an even shorter sword, who is walking in front of the two. He looks young, no more than 15. He appears to have noticed you. He has stopped moving and is currently staring at you wide eyed.

OOC
Looks like that round is going to end soon...

Still busy busy busy. Had actually started writing the turn when Coolrune posted, but had to pause for a while to do other things.
