Second chance round
Keep charging and fire when fully charged.
You are hit again, this time much stronger, a hit that breaks and rends some of the bones and flesh that make up your armour. However, the worse part is that you are pushed straight in that puddle of green stuff. The feeling of being burnt melted and burnt into nothing is not very pleasant. Death comes as a welcome reprieve from the pain.
((Ah, too bad. I really wanted you to fire. Oh well, maybe next mission. That's the problem with that kind of character build, I suppose.))
More focused blasts, concentrating my power at one point should cause the force to have a greater effect.
You manage to hit the thing with a very powerful telekinetic blast, tearing away a large chunk of its surrounding flesh and bone and throwing the creature straight into the glowing green puddle surrounding it. It looks like that isn't good for its health, for it immediately starts melting and burning.
What happens next surprises you, although in retrospect you should had expected it. The thing explodes in a flash of brilliant light, throwing you back, burning your upper body and blinding you temporarily. You can still move, but it hurts like hell.
Blood loss combined with the pain and discomfort from the rest of your injuries is getting to you. It's hard to move and think properly. You don't have long to live.
Throw the grenade away. Use a slow field on it. Run further towards the crater. Duck and cover. If after that I still have action points - fire away.
You manage to slow the grenade down, but your frantic attempts to throw it away only manages to somehow get it tangled into your uniform.
Oh, and there's a big angry armoured dinosaur-like thing coming your way from the ast. It's got an interface around one of its legs.
You are trying to decide which one of your problems is more important when a brilliant flash of light comes from the crater, causing the ground to shift and tremble, making you loose your balance. The lizard thing looks a lot more steady on its four feet.
Talk about bad luck. Well, at least it's not raining.
((Also, action points? This isn't XCOM, friend. Although, now that I think about it, an assault or survival mission with aliens would be fun...))
Evolve Spikes, then go hunt some peoples.
You continue to fail to grow spikes, but you at least manage to hunt people.
There's a little human that seems to have gone crazy and is fighting with his uniform. Looks like there's something in it. Maybe one of his friends put a rabid Tasmanian devil in his pants?
Well, no matter, he has an Interface on his wrist, which means you have to kill him. Or at least make sure he ends up dead, since you don't think you can just persuade him to give up and leave.
Just as you are about to attack, a brilliant flash of light comes from the crater, followed by a tremor that causes the ground to shift. You easily manage to maintain your balance, but the other man is not as lucky. He stumbles and almost falls to the ground.
Campaign
"There. Good enough. You should probably summon a crutch.
You should also summon some supplies.
Lots of food and drinks. Whatever you want, I'm too hungry to care.
Weapons. Knives would work. A fire poker would be excellent.
Two sets of clothes. Waterproof, durable, and many pockets. Maybe sports armor if you can summon it.
Some spare cloth for bandages and making a sling.
Vodka for drinking, first aid, and molotovs.
Hairspray and a lighter to use as a flamethrower.
A metal cup to trap and crush people with.
Rope. Always need rope.
Lanterns or flashlights and extra batteries.
And of course, Duct tape.
Sorry. Just want to be prepared."
While talking Nikolai collects some rocks the right size for slinging and fills a bag with them to create the deadliest weapon known to man: a bag full of rocks. Any particularly interesting rocks around here, or are they all the boring grey kind?
After placing your order to the most dangerous delivery man ever, you proceed to look around for rocks.
((inb4 I get a character application for an actual delivery man warrior.))
Unfortunately, the ground here appears to have molten and then cooled down again recently, leaving you with nothing but small and slightly porous rock fragments. Not that good for making a weapon. You could always look further away.
Uh.
Try for a crutch first. If not, then summon a bunch of clothes.
It takes several attempts during which nothing happens, but you eventually manage to summon a perfectly good crutch, complete with cloth padding that should help keep you comfortable.
As for clothing... you manage to summon a pair of pants and a shirt. And you don't even have to wear it. And it even looks like your power enlarged the shirt to make it fit someone of your body type. Unfortunately, both of the shirt's sleeves appear to be extra long and tied behind your back, making it impossible for you to move your arms. Probably a side effect of that new ability. Maybe your power is trying to tell you something?
But I don' wana bleed to death!
Well, me neither since it means you'll have to wait to be revived again (unless Ike ends up perma-killing you). And River will probably not be very thrilled about you dying either, but there's not much I can do about it.
Campaign, Ike!
"Hiya!" says Ike to the onlookers with a bloody smile. "Sorry it had to work out this way, guys."
See if I can arrest Irine's bleeding with an intestinal tourniquet, then tie her to my back with more intestine. Nature's answer to rope, they call it.
Then start following Kassiver's scent from the presumable puddle of ichor he left on the ground when his eyes were pierced. Keep an ear out for any sudden movements around me.
You kinda ruined your intestine last turn, friend. But that doesn't mean you can't try to gain some guts from someone else.
Let's see here... You smile creepily to the onlookers as you start mutilating a second corpse. You manage to cut the small intestine out of the big guard.
You try to use part of it to create a tourniquet for Irine, but the damn thing is too slippery, the blood not helping one bit.
Oh, by the way, both the medical and the supply tent are on fire, the fire spreading from somewhere close to their entrance. From what you can hear, someone's helping evacuate the occupants of the medical tent through a hole on the opposite side from the entrance.
