"Bah, good enough."
Inspect the thing to tell if it'll even fire at all. Man it and guard the elevator door.
It'll fire, but you can't tell how long until it jams or falls apart. It's not exactly in the best condition.
You set up your HMG on top of the battlements of fort Cookington and get ready for its heroic defense. By which I mean you place your poorly maintained gun on a pile of cookware and boxes and prepare to delay an unstoppable onslaught of Red Army troops.
Let's hope your teammates get back soon...
Summon larger megaphone.
Nope, nothing, random.org still hates you apparently. Or maybe the pyromaniacs are stealing all your luck, since they seem to be constantly evading death.
"Picking up the slack..."
Cover them if/when they run towards us. Don't step out of the elevator, though.
You sit near the elevator's doors and wait for your teammates to either return or die horribly. Either will do, you just want to get on with your job.
Screw firefights, I want to get this done. Go east.
You arrive at the elevator. There's John there with a barely intact heavy machine gun sitting on some boxes that have been armored with cookware, there's Alan playing with his little things and there's Jordan who's waiting near the elevator.
"We're just waiting for your teammates to finish whatever it is they're doing and then we'll go down the elevator."
Keep healing. Wake up, or at least don't drip too much flesh juice on Zach.
Still healing, still unconscious, still staining your teammates' clothes with blood and other bodily goo.
By the way, ever smelt burning hair or flesh? Cause I can tell you, the smell is awful. Yet another thing your teammates have to deal with while carrying you.
Also, you've lost part of your brown shirt when it caught fire. You might want to borrow one of your teammate's coats when you wake up.
His leg was searing in pain. His back was pressured by someone else. His mind ached from the effort of the crystal wall. His everything hurt, basically.
But he felt fulfilled. He's doing his job. But he's not done yet.
"Come on, come on! Drop the fire, we got to get to the elevator! Let's go!"
Get around the corner and get to the elevator as fast as possible. Urge Irene to come with us, and if she does, drop the crystal wall.
Find Irene
Interface:Where are you? Beside lot of fire?
Run for the elevator.
Irene starts running towards the elevator. As she leaves, she can see Zach's crystal wall collapsing under the strain of the incoming bullets and her flames weakening from the guard's firefighting efforts. That firewall isn't going to stay up for long. She makes it to the offices and meets up with the rest of the gang.
Zach continues moving forward, carrying Angel, but his body can take no more. Even with the wall down the stress is too much. He limps towards the door leading to the main hallway, very slowly. Thankfully, Eria arrives just in time to help him with the weight, before he collapses from the strain.
"So many 'just in time' arrivals and last second escapes. One would think this is a TV show or something. 'Tune in next time to find out if our heroes escape certain death!' "
Keep crawling forward and healing.
((Fair, and probaly what I would have done. Thanks for not having me just sit there as a plant-person trying to kill me throws me against a wall despite an array of mutant powers at my disposal from teleportation to telekinesis to light control to omnisensory illusions, like someone did...to another Angel, actually...))
((I try to go with the assumption that you are reasonable individuals and fill any gaps in your actions (or lack of action, unless you're not facing an unimportant and/or obvious choice) with that. Which is necessary now, because we have people moving and people fighting and if I did everything in battle time, asking for input every turn, you'd take 2-6 turns just going from one place to another.))
((The current turn covers less time then usual since our escapees might want to do something differently.
Currently, Eria(scapeheap) and Zach(DAF) are carrying the unconscious Angel(GWG) towards the Elevator with Irene(Lenglon) running with them in her three tailed fox form. They're about 1/4 of their way through some offices (cubicles along with larger offices created by
plastic dividers with small windows, desks, computers, that sort of thing).))
