((My plan was for there to be an out of control fire on the ground floor. fire burns up. The fire would breach "secure" areas through the floor, and would force first a response of sending people to the ground floor - away from guarding our objectives, and then if I managed to get the fire to go completely out of control despite firefighting attempts, it would force an evacuation of the building. at no time would an armed attacker, or in fact an attacker of any kind, be shown to be present, so any calls for help would be calls for a firefighting team, not military response teams. we wouldn't even have to break cover. in the meantime, we would have free reign to go anywhere we wanted, including right through the flames, because I could simply part them before us. throughout all of this, you could continue with your plan of telepathic interrogation (that was your plan, right?) completely unimpeded. I didn't even need to move from my mobile hiding spot that you were carrying with you everywhere you went. if we were forced into a fight, I'd have a giant source of flame to weaponize at any time.

so in short:
Distract guards and draw them away from our targets
provide us with a hidden heavy weapon
give you an excuse for unusual behavior (I'm running from the fire!)
not break disguise
not trigger calls for the right kind of backup
not impede us moving around
provide a mobile roadblock to place behind us if needed (pull flames from ground floor the the hallway behind us, good luck chasing us through that!)
breach secure areas
force an evacuation of the building

I figured setting the building on fire, when we have a fire controller right there with us qualified as a good idea.))

((Probably.))

Attempt to use telepathic powers to locate the director guy.
For the sake of not repeating myself, you gain vaguely the same data the entity gives below, accompanied with an explanation of why you are down here. You were supposed to intercept the Director on his way to his office when he passed by you on the hallway and pickpocket him, but you were delayed by a security guard that wanted you to clean his office again "because you did a shitty job". And then he tried hitting on you. Asshole. Should had killed him.

"You two were supposed to intercept some director guy on the floor above you, but you are down here for some reason. From the data I have here, you can probably find the data you need either in his office in a restricted area on the southwest section of the building one floor above you or on him. That guy will probably be in the rec-room of the northwest section, one floor above you."

Alright.

If my telepathy indicates the director is still where he was before the small fire and a bunch of other security concerns started, head to the rec room.

John swore mentally.  Piece of shit machine.

"Yeah, I got it right here in my bag in the console."  He looked at the console.  "Or... Ебена мать!  It's in the trunk.  One second, I will get it."

He reached out to his teammate mentally.  **I'm going to pop the trunk and let them see the gear back there.  When they say their 'what the hells,' start shooting.**

Get out and open the trunk.  When they are shocked by what's in the trunk, shoot them while they're distracted.

((So much for surprise.))

"You are indeed correct, miss! I do not work here! I am but a humble, unassuming *roof inspector*, working for the good of the Party. You wouldn't want to interfere with the affairs of the Party's *roof inspectors*, would you? It would be so dreadfully inconvenient. I might even require to mention you in the *roof inspection* report."
Explain.
((I'm going to have you move up the stairs for the sake of time. Hope you don't mind.))
"Fine! Go ahead!" Although she's convinced, she doesn't sound very happy.
The woman explodes in a rant as you continue to the elevators.
"I wonder what kind of stupid job they'll think of next to justify paying guys like you! Who are you related to, eh? A party member? A councilor? Guys like you are the reason the Union is going to shit, you know! You think I'm afraid of you? Well I don't give a damn. Rat me out to them! I don't care. What I care about is that I bust my ass working this desk all day, processing data at the same time to meet my quota, and guys like you think you're better, think just-"
You can hear her even as the elevator doors close.
"Man, that girl can shout. Well, let's hope nobody else comes by the reception while she keeps on going. Mostly for her sake."

You get off on level 5, make your way through some empty offices and reach the windows. The building is opposite to you and in range.
The building's got a strange, tiered layout, the second story being almost half the size of the first one. The roof is covered with shallow water puddles from the recently melted snow.
The roof looks empty looks empty, even with your enhanced senses.
"Incoming image."
Spoiler: Image (click to show/hide)
"Your position is the red dot. Your target is the red star. Have fun!"
Your target is a small building sitting under an array of satellite dishes, all sprouting from a central large antenna.

Stand up, cross arms(1) and look like I'm waiting for someone.
If car passes, carry on cutting after it goes.
If car stop, (1) Arms are in place to freeze anyone getting out and then the car doors of anyone else not out yet.

((You were either very unlucky or very lucky depending on how you look at it.))
The car notices you and stops.
A man in an expensive looking outfit coming out of it and begins talking.
"Hey, vagrants like y-" Before he's even fully out of the car, you aim near his vitals and begin forming an ice attack.
The man notices the attack coming and tries to dodge out of the way.
"Tries" being the keyword here, since he ends up slipping on the melting snow and putting his head right into the path of the thin icicle you just launched from your hand at high speed.
The result is a very crude lobotomy. The man convulses in the ground for a few moments before lying still, a small puddle of blood forming near his head.
"Well done. Great shot!"
"She just got lucky. We'll see how long she lasts."
There is nobody else inside the car.

Proceed up the stairwell we were already headed to.
Follow Zech.
((Stopped you halfway last turn because I try to keep you all roughly in the same time.))

You follow the entity's directions, go up a level and finally reach the entrance to the main security station. It's a small metal door with a keycard reader, stuck in the northernmost section of the building.
It is unguarded.
"Hmm... Strange. There was supposed to be a guard here. Anyway, this door just leads to a corridor, which should be empty.
After that, go north at the intersection and you should reach the main control room. There should be a few guards in there.
The intersection also leads to a bathroom in the west, and to a 'reinforced temporary imprisonment unit' in the south, whatever that is."

Chatter about the fire near the west stairwell continues to be heard through your radio.
"I've got lots of smoke. We've got an actual fire here."
"Affirmative. Coming to assist."
"A fire? Okay, keep my updated."

Silently cry under the rags and wallow in self-pity, hoping that Angel has a plan since she shot down mine
((You're depressed about what you don't know and/or can't understand, Stellar is depressed about stuff you know and stuff you don't know, he is angry for reasons you don't know... Didn't expect to get this much drama so early. And definitely not for those reasons. Congratulations on making things more complex and/or interesting. Oh, and due to good rolls, your plan is partially working.))

You stay hidden under the rags and be sad fox.
For anyone not knowing the context it's a good combination of sad and adorable. And a bit of funny if you consider the unusual sounds foxes make. For you though, it's just sad.
"I-" Stellar begins to say something but seems to reconsider and stops. She sounds afraid.
Attempt to use telepathic powers to locate the director guy.
The guard looks at you questioningly for a moment before continuing down the stairs.

You follow the entity's directions to the entrance to the rec room.
Your power isn't giving you much. Just that there are about 4-6 people in that area.

You could let it go and try for another power. Or you could go in to see what's in there. Or both.

"Okay, okay. Let's go see it."
The guard follows you to the trunk of the car. Opening the trunk provides the expected "What the he-" which is cut short by John, as he moves behind the guard with incredible speed, putting two bullets in his lungs and one in his heart before he can make a noise.
The guard falls on the smoke producing device in the trunk hard, activating it in the process. Of course. Now it works.
Now the area is slowly filling with a thick, low hanging smoke.
At least the body is hidden.
**They will regret not being a hipster.**

Get out with partner and shoot knives into the guards when they realize we're fakes.
Meanwhile, Alan tries to take out the second guard. He opens the gate to the gate guardhouse, raises his hand aaaand... nothing.
The guard seems to be too confused by the sight to respond. He probably didn't see his buddy get brutally and efficiently murdered.
"Wha-? What the hell do you think you're doing in here? What do you want?" he asks, his hand moving to his sidearm.

"Ah, our first kills. I feel so proud."

Look mildly surprised.

Ah, sorry man. Thought this was someplace else.

Approach and ask what part of the complex this is, wait until he's talking then shoot him.

((Wonder what's up with my powers.))

Angel drops both of her powers and replaces them, aiming for some sort of ability that lets her teleport herself and others. She then examines her own abilities.
