TURN ONE:A NEW DAY.

Time:8:00 AM
First day of Spring

Michel Van Maximberg

Michel wakes up. Cold. Very cold. Maybe it would have been a good idea to put some clothes on before he left his home? Naaaaaah. But still, this cold is unpleasant. He surveys the shelter around him. Benches. Lockers. A computer, and a broken one. And stairs down. Outside, the sun is shining, and he can hear birds chirping. Hmmm. Somethings not right... Oh yes, its the apocalypse. The non-broken computer was on, maybe something of use was on it?

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Harvey Sam Bekter

Gasp. Pant. Wheeze. Harvey slams the shelter door shut behind him. What the HELL was that! He was on a hunting trip with a friend, and out of nowhere... these WALKING TREES came at them, and killed his friend! There were also 2 giant trees where they seemed to be centered around. He managed to outrun them, and he saw this building, hoping that it would be safe. Looks like a evac shelter. Always had to do drills around these, when he was younger. Lets see, lockers, benches, a basement. A computer was on, maybe that would have some more info about whats going on?

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Roger Samuel Hendrickson

Roger opens his eyes. Damm, what a headache. He was working at the store, and then the alarms sounded. He ran to the evac shelter, and he found himself being the only one there. He locked the door, and waited. First came the screams. Then came the silence. He eventually went to sleep, with nothing else to do. Now, he takes a closer look at the shelter. Lockers, benches, the basement may have something in it. The computer, in the corner, was turned on. Maybe there is something of use on it?

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Jackson "Chameleon" Connors

Jackson opens his eyes, waking up on a unfamiliar bench... It must have been the party... he was used to waking up on unfamiliar benches by now. Then, he looked side to side. Crap, so that was NOT a bad dream. He was in the evac shelter, and the apocalypse had happened. He had stabbed a friend in the eye with a scalpel that tried to eat him, an ran until he reached here. He surveyed the shelter. Usual stuff, benches, lockers, a basement. He then saw the glow of a computer monitor. Maybe something useful?

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Amelia Terin

Amelia wakes up in the corner of the evac shelter... Oh god, there was so much blood last night, she thinks, as the night before plays through her mind. Gunshots. Shambling people trying to attack her. Oh god... THE DOGS! She put her head down... After sever moments, she manages to compose herself, and observe the shelter around her. Benches, lockers. A basement. And a glowing computer screen in the corner. What could that be?

What do you do?
Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Caleb Wright

Its the end of the world as we know it, and I feeeeel fine. Hummed Caleb as he sat on a bench in the corner of the evac shelter. You know, maybe, it was NOT fine. Bah, where did that thought even come from? Its always fine if you trust your faith. However, despite that, he was starting to feel slightly peckish. Maybe, just maybe, he could use some food. He looked around the evac shelter. Benches, lockers, computers. A basement. One of them was on. Maybe something useful?

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

James Donoghue

Crap. Craaaaaaaaaaaap. We fucked up. BAD. This time, there would be no going back. No cleanup. Its the end of the world, and I was there when it happened. When the portal failed. When the teleporters started spewing out monsters. Run, that was the only thought. Sprinting up and out of the lab like my life depended on it, and ending up here, some evac shelter and god knows where. James looks around. Benches, lockers. A basement. A glowing computer screen. Something useful on there, maybe?

What do you do?

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

Claire Apple

What the hell. I get called in to help settle a "Domestic disturbance" and I nearly get my face eaten in. What. Then, the fucking MILITARY comes and calls all the police over, saying they need backup. I spend half the night driving there, and find the whole place butchered. When I tried to drive away, my car rams into a spire of flipping FUNGUS that's grown up in the middle of the road. Que me running through the woods for what feels like hours, until I find this shelter. Claire looked up. No point on dwelling on what the hell happened last night. I need to figure out what's going on. She looks around the evac shelter. Benches. Lockers. A basement. A glowing computer. Maybe it has something of use?

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats (click to show/hide)

Michael Leary

Why the hell, does this kind of shit, always happen to me. Bloody hell. I am PISSED. Every time I go somewhere, there is a disaster. 6 years old, some fucking island I cant remember, guess what, TSUNAMI. 8 years old, France, largest earthquake ever to happen in the last 100 years. 15 years old. Go on a cruise. I FALL OFF THE SIDE. And now, I think, hey, I might be able to go somewhere without nearly dying! Nope. Looks like the apocalypse has arrived, and I have a front row seat. Michael looks around the shelter. Benches, lockers, a basement. Also a glowing computer. Might have a use.

What do you do?

Spoiler: Stats. (click to show/hide)

You may notice a few things. One of them being that I'm bad at counting. But, since I had already written everything out, and I would feel bad, we are now a party of 9. Enjoy the first turn. Carry weight/volume will be calculated when needed, mostly because it took me a hour and 40 min to write that out, and I'm kinda tired.

Have fun!

Check the computer for official instructions, then the lockers and the basement. Won't have a repeat of my visit to Japan, which mostly consisted of being in an emergency shelter thanks to the tsunami. I really should stop going on holiday.

Look into the basement. Wait to listen at the door before opening. Then go and investigate the shelter to the South-West

Well all the games I've been in so far people had 2 things in common.

The character description went out the window the moment they were in danger so characters who always fight suddenly ran away.
And everybody seemed to have seen and done everything so nothing ever surprised them.
((...That's a really narrow mindset you've got there. Biased, you could say.  :-\ ))

((...werty, I don't have a shirt. The Paramedic has a polo shirt. Also, we aren't using the 'fitting' mechanics are we? :D
What are the standing rules of unarmed martial arts combat? Are they only affecting unarmed combat or + any melee weaponry?
I do so hope you found a creative way to pick on NPCs and whatever is not in the Cata game :3))

The sun was out, and whatever nightmares were held as intangible at the moment, I thought to myself. Sitting by the windowsill, the warmth of the rays calmed me and straightened my composure. I had only arrived at the shelter in the last day, and fell asleep on one of the benches. Granted, nothing came after me--my fears were dissuaded.

Yet the shelter was an assortment of tools and items. Lockers for personal use coupled with standing poles-seemingly retrofitted from pipes were open and lacking the quality security of their locks. Wooden benches were all about, devoid of...completely anything. Even the papers and strewn cans, as well as dirt piles I've seen in movies were gone.

This place was empty, but upon further looking around, I saw stairs leading downwards. Perhaps there'd be something waiting for me down there?

However first priorities come. Every evacuation shelter, as part of my training, points out that there would be a terminal of advice and direction if the state was under calamity...I could register this as more than a calamity.

I wonder if anyone else survived?

Check the terminal - and if it has nothing else for me to peruse, check the basement for any items of use - preferably items that could hold storage and/or consumables. Any tools would be left behind, if found. Pick up any radios.

I'm so glad I took up Ninjutsu.
...I wonder if anything can hear me?

Nope. Would not work in a RTD, really.

Martial Arts: You know how you unlock moves as you increase in skill? You can use those moves as a special in combat. And they only affect unarmed.
