In outstanding news today the 3rd Alliance Armored Division successuful thwarted a attack on the planet of Fanardir! The intial reports we've gotten so far have shown that the 3rd AAD took minial losses while almost annihilating a Heavy lance of mechs!
The 3rd AAD fielded one lance of medium vee's and a secondary lance of light vee's with support from planetary militia and a single Aero space on loan from the 3rd Alliance Air Wing.
3rd AAD fielded forces:PMA-005, Von Luckner Heavy Tank(Star League), Zephyr Hovertank, Chevalier Light Tank, GAL-101, GAL-101, GAL(RL).
3rd AAW fielded forces: SL-25
Fanadir Planetary Militia Forces: Flatbed Truck(RL), Jump rifle Infantry Platoon(Assault Rifle), Jump Laser Platoon(Heavy Support Laser).
1st Atrean Dragoon forces fielded: BLR-1G, CP-10-Z, LGB-OW, AWS-8Q, Guass Field Gun Battery, Ballista Artillery Unit.
The assaulting forces landed on the outskirts of a major town and the 3rd AAD quickly rallied it's forces and supporting units behind the major volcanoes in the area. The units digging down beneath cover and advancing the best they cute while remaining hidden.
The Sl-25 immediantly took off and started doing repeated strafing runs across the rapidly approaching BLR-1G, bursts of laser fire savaging the mech as it advances forward rapidly, outpacing it's friendly units.
The jump platoons are rapidly scaling the mountain with their backs, intent on laying down supporting fire from far above. Unforunately the Heavy Support Laser jump Platoon is hammered in a direct hit from hostile artillery and is lost to the last man.
The battle lines have closed enough now that Cpt. Justin Valefor, piloting the PMA-005 orders the ambush sprung. A pair of GAL-101's, the (RL) variant, the Flatbed truck and the Chevalier charge down from the mountainside where they had been hidden. Utterly savaging the weakened BLR-1G with a veritable mountain of laser and rocket fire. Armor stripped as internals are damaged and the head of the BLR-1G is nearly destroyed.
The surprise assault works perfectly though they are soon savaged by return fire from the LGB-0W firing from across the map.

A single flatbed Truck(RL) is seen charging the BLR-1G, shattered and destroyed GAL-101's scattered around it as weaves between the wreckages. The driver finally hits the button, the RL-20's on the back firing off. Almost the entire barrage misses as return fire from a laser slams in it's side and melts the tires, immobilizing the truck. The last tube fires off and the RL slams in to the devastated head of the BLR-1G, destroying it and sending the mech down to the floor, out of the fight.
*We have been informed that the driver of the flatbed truck, a Sgt. Elenaor Vaden, has been promoted and enlisted in the 3rd AAD officially as a reward for their valor and bravery in this battle.*
The AWS-8Q and the CP-10-Z finally arrive on to the main battlefield, only to be late to help the BLR-1G as it is destroyed. The two mechs immediantly charge the only targets in front of them, the PMA-05 and the Von Luckner Tank. Barrages of Laser and AC/20 are exchanged between the two as the two groups of heavy weights approach.
With the BLG-1R dead, the commander of the light VEE lance immediantly orders a charge towards the rear, intent of putting a end to the 1st Atrean Dragoon's supporting LGB-0W, Guass Field Artillery and the Ballista. The Two remaining GAL-101's and the Chevalier Tank charge forth, raining down fire across the unmoving LGB-0W while sustaining fire from the Guass field battery.
The SL-25 charges towards the AWS-8Q, intending on hammering in to with weaponsfire when the pilot makes a fatal error, the plane losing control as it slams in to the AWS-8Q's head, destroying both the mech and the fighter.
The CP-10-Z suddenly finding itself outnumbered with two heavy tanks charging down on it begins to retreat and fall back, The PMA-05 and the Von Lucker surging forward as they open fire, intent on not letting the wounded mech against. A AC/20 shears through what armor is left and the CZ-10-Z goes down as it's leg is destroyed.
The Guass Field battery is savaged with SRM fire till it's rendered ineffective and unable to fire it's field guns. The LGB-0W is savaged by the light Vee's, most external armor sheared away as internals are exposed.
With that the 1st Atrean Dragoons begins to pull back, retreating from the battle. The 3rd AAD holds it's position and allows the remaining units to retreat, infantry and support teams hurriedly rushing out to recover the fallen AWS-8Q.
Without a doubt, what a great victory for the Territoral States! But as always, we cannot just allow our brave soldiers out there to fight alone! The game is pretty fun, and I don't mind spending time teaching new people if anyone wants to pop in on the server and try!
