Bay 12 is notorious for its pun derails. It's never just one pun; you make a pun, at least a page of them are bound to follow. This is the everstanding monument, so we may never forget what great and terrible things we, as a community, are capable of.

I wonder why the kitchen spambots persist - I doubt many of the advertisements pan out. I can imagine a spammer at his computer, rouxing the time he wasted, completely fried.

I believe that it's for Google rankings. They don't care whether you click on the link or not, they just want Google's bots to find it on a trusted site like the Bay12 Forums.

Consider it this way; Somewhere out there there's someone that thinks Dwarf Fortress' community is significant enough to spam.
