From the other thread:

I think this one's my first post.

I like it, but I don't want to have to bail out my fortress or put a roof on it... I guess grates would work... But they are a bit of trouble. I guess I'll have to deal with it.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but couldn't you use TRAILING_DUST_FLOW as a sort of "Fus-Ro-Da" type attack?
Code: [Select]
[CAN_DO_INTERACTION:TRAILING_DUST_FLOW]
  [CDI:ADV_NAME:FUS-RO-DA]
  [CDI:USAGE_HINT:ATTACK]
  [CDI:BP_REQUIRED:BY_CATEGORY:MOUTH]
  [CDI:TARGET:C:LINE_OF_SIGHT]
  [CDI:TARGET_RANGE:C:15]
  [CDI:MAX_TARGET_NUMBER:C:1]
  [CDI:WAIT_PERIOD:50]
Also, would I need to define a material for this to work properly?
This was from when I was still struggling with modding. I gave up soon after.

There was a disturbing lack of me back then in that topic :P

To be a part of the world's history! I brought the world out of the Age of the Hydra and Forest Titan once, and it was the best feeling ever!

MY ENTHUSIASM IS OVERWHELMING

especially for something so hilariously minor :P

Also, 2 of my first four posts were new topics. Good god.

And some of my earliest posts (first 400) were from the DFTerm posts. Huh.

Evidently the posts are out of chronological order from before the new forum merge. Probably due to the way the IDs were generated when parsing through the old forum data. Anyway, this is the oldest one I could find of mine.

How WEIRD!  I just had to do this also...  And indeed, it didn't work when converting .png to 24-bit bmp, but it worked fine when copying it over and replacing the contents within MSPaint.<P>I ran fc through the cmd, and it  gave this message:  "Resync failed.  Files are too different."<P>
And look at <I>that</I>!  The file sizes are even different.  How awkward...<p>[ March 03, 2007: Message edited by: Tylui ]

I can't even remember what the old forums looked like :O

Every time I see my old posts I want to edit them all. Some of them are barely readable. Others contain too much information and must be redacted.

I think I'm going to do that soon. Some point when I have free time. A lot of free time.
I just realized (after years of playing DF) that you can designate digging areas over multiple z-levels by simply selecting the starting tile on the first z-level, going down the wished number of levels and then selecting the ending tile on the last level.

All the precious time wasted by stoicly designating stairs, going down a level, designating stairs, going down a level, etc like a robot. I always knew about the macro stuff, but never bothered to use it... but this, boy I feel like a caveman who miraculously got his hands on a futuristic fusion self-powered jackhammer and then used it like a deformed pickaxe to smash stone.
Actually, that's new as of the last major version IIRC  :P
You can!?! PRAISE THE MINERS!
That saved me so much damn time. So, much, time.
Even today. So, much, time.

Nothing interesting here, just a very boring:
PTW.

Followed by an equally underwhelming:

Yeah, he's pretty much stuck in Russia. The only people who seem to be willing to accept him don't seem to have the resources to get him. And the will to move him out is basically nonexistent in the countries that could, because they don't want to piss off the United States. It should be interesting to see what the Russians ultimately decide on, but I have a feeling all this won't end well for Snowden, one way or another.

I'd like to say I've improved over time, but...

Welcome  :) I started playing DF about 4 days ago, takes awhile to get used to things but it's the best game I've seen in a long time.

This abomination:

Boatmurdered Murder-Murder of Murdering

I know what you are thinking "But IceBlaster, recreating Boatmurdered is a sin to all dwarfkind" and that is true, but nobody said this is boat murdered  ;). I will need about 10 players who will-for a year-will run this Armokforsaken place.

The Rules
Dwarven atom smashers are to be deconstructed after getting rid of a glitched item(Or getting rid of that catsplosion before it kills your PC)
Project Fuck The World Mk. II will be finished before all 10 or so overseers are done, no exceptions
Dorfing yourself is encouraged but not required.
Pictures are not required to participate. Ya know, for the people who don't have a screen cap program.

Method to Exchange Saves
I would prefer Email, but if it won't fit just use Mediafire, I think free should do it for new users.

What Will happen
Elephants will find and brutally rip us apart... tooth for tooth

Submit your entries(I don't come here but once a day, so expect this)

I don't know what I was thinking...

Nothing is inevitable in terms of being taken over. A person who doesn't make their project publically owned is under no obligation to sell out due to stockholder pressure.
I was still spelling publicly wrong. I'm not entirely sure how I was doing that because spellcheck.

Sometimes spellcheck gets it wrong, or you want to use a word that doesn't exist.
