Lizardmen won. By far. Also, does anyone happen to know how to link posts to another post? I'm afraid I'm not the most forum savvy person there is.
You consider the threads before you, listening to the various stray thoughts that cross your mind. After a moment you decide, you shift yourself closer to the beckoning lizard-men shaman. With your choice made, a sharp pain shoots through your body and you feel the other threads unwinding before disappearing. The pain passes quickly and you look over the shaman.
Your 'eyes' shifting over him as you examine him closely, He looks to be in his late twenties. His clothing is simple, nothing more than animal skin garments. A thick, twisted, intricate looking skull mask rests on the top of his head. His scales are a greasy, yellow-green color. At the ends of his hands are four, short, serrated claws. His eyes are a dull silver.
The shaman reaches up and adjusts his mask before hissing out in a raspy, gravelly voice, "
Oh great one....We of the Sud'kar thank you for heeding our call...It has been ages since a old one has awakened in our lands...Our tribe has been hunted to near extinction by the border tribes, I fear that we may not last for long without your assistance oh great one...But first, What may we call you exalted one?"
The other lizardmen shift curiously around the bonfire, clicking among themselves as they stamp their feet eagerly. Their harsh, guttural language echoing around your ears, becoming more and more familiar till you can understand them as clear as the shaman. Many thanks escape their lips before they fall quiet, shifting around. Their gazes seem to focus around your general area, but none of them appear to see you as the shaman can.
After hearing the shaman's speech, you feel your gaze turning inwards. Examining yourself for the first time since you had awakened within this world, Your body is shapeless, formless. You look further inwards, you can sense several spheres of great power lurking within you. Instinctively, you know that these are what will give you the means to shape and define the world as you see fit. With a shift, you brush a thin tendril of your mind across each sphere, learning about what powers they hold.
Fire, A sphere devoted to the fiery aspects of magic. Whether it's raining down fire upon those who offended you, or providing a spark of warmth to heat the cold, it all falls under this domain.
Life, A sphere devoted to the protection and healing of life. Whether it's bring a fresh breath of life into a field of crops, or healing a sickly individual, it all falls under this domain.
Water, A sphere devoted to the bringing of rain, whether to water the crops or turn the ground into a muddy mess to slow your foes, it all falls underneath this domain.
Earth, A sphere devoted to the ancient mountains of the old, turning ground fertile and plentiful with crops, or weakening the ground beneath your foes and sending them plummeting into the earth itself, it all falls under this domain.
Air, A sphere devoted to the great winds, Unleashing massive spirals of wind upon your foes that will destroy all that crosses their path, or lightening the load upon a villager, it all falls under this domain.
Death, A sphere devoted to the afterlife, Whether it's spreading a malicous disease amongst the crops of foe, or destroying a disease sicking your own, it all falls under this domain.
Withdrawing the tendrils back into your mind, you consider what the shaman said. Perhaps it would be useful to create a physical appearance for yourself in this world, so that the old shaman would not have to be the one to speak your words to your new followers. Perhaps a intimating form to strike fear into the hearts of them, or, perhaps, a more, subtle, diplomatic form could be required.
What is your name? What appearance shall you take? What spheres do you control? Answers in bold please.A note on your appearance, If you choose to look like a demon out of hell, you can. But I'll be making people react to your appearance, so do give it a little thought. You can just give me a general idea of what you want to look like, or you can make it as specific as you like.
