Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You shift aimlessly in the pitch black nonexistence, drifting aimlessly among the dark 'masses' you can faintly sense around yourself. For the first time in your existence, you feel a soft pull. Helpless to do due otherwise, you find yourself getting drawn closer to whatever it was that was 'tugging' on you. Color bursts into existence, briefly overwhelming your senses before you regain control of yourself. You see a land far below you, it's massive. You feel hundreds upon thousands of creatures, their lives, their existences flowing through your mind and filling it. A deep pain shoots through your body and you quickly find yourself closing your mind off, narrowing down the overflow of information so as not to hurt yourself. With a jerk of surprise, you realize you can sense several small lines of 'energy' tied into yourself, each pulling lightly on your senses.  Curiosity filling your mind about these 'threads',You shift yourself to each of their originating locations...

1) Following the dark, purplish thread, you find the land flowing around you, nothing more than a blur as your travel, vast unknown distances in the blink of a second. You find yourself in a marshy, swampland. Thousands of bright flickers of life flare across your senses, but you find your attention inevitably drawn to a little encampment, lizardman standing around a small bonfire. Chanting in a guttural, foreign language, they dance around the flames, wielding primitive weapons. You move closer, a lizard-man stands in front of the fire, a staff in his hand. He seems to be beckoning towards you....

2) Following the grey, dullish thread, you find the land flowing around you, nothing more than a blur as your travel, vast unknown distances in the blink of a second. You appear in a heavily forested wooded area, the tree's are massive. Seeming to tower, hundreds upon hundreds of feet over the floors of the jungle. It's filled to the brim with life, but you soon find your attention drawn to the treetops. A village lies near the top's of the tree's, fire burning across it. You can sense nearly forty invaders within, slaughtering the inhabitants of the village. You find yourself drawn to a small family hidden within one of the huts, the creatures are humanoid. Long, flowing hair running down their shoulders, their ears with pointed tips. They appear to be desperately praying....

3) Following green-whitish thread you find the land flowing around you, nothing more than a blur as your travel, vast unknown distances in the blink of a second. You arrive at a vast desert region, endless sands stretching as far as the eye can see. Despite the lifeless appearance of it, you can feel the sands humming with hidden and untold life. You soon find yourself drawn to a caravan of sorts, their wagons circled around each other. The humanoids within it, their thick, green skins darkened by the sun. They wield short, curved blades, grim looks across their faces. You can feel a massive, life rapidly approaching them from beneath the sands....

4) Following hellish red thread you find the land flowing around you, nothing more than a blur as your travel, vast unknown distances in the blink of a second. You arrive at a mountain, blazing sun burning the mountainside, wicked, searing streams of heated rock streaming down the sides of the mountains. Yet, even in this utterly hellish environment, you can sense life within it. Soon, you find yourself drawn into the mountain, near the surface you find yourself drawn to a short humanoid. A thick beard covering his face, almost as large as his own body. Dirt staining his cheeks as his fingers tighten on his club. He appears to be feverishly praying, you can sense a pack of fiery animals stalking around him, hidden within the shadows....

1 - follow the dark and purplish thread.
Lizardmen sound like fun. In more a traditional way than df-fun, but that surely can be arranged by us in short order...

My dreams are not unlike yours - they long for the safety, and break like a glass chandelier.
But there's laughter and oh there is love, just past the edge of our fears.
And there's chaos when push comes to shove, but it's music to my ears.

Spoiler (click to show/hide)

You consider the threads before you, listening to the various stray thoughts that cross your mind. After a moment you decide, you shift yourself closer to the beckoning lizard-men shaman. With your choice made, a sharp pain shoots through your body and you feel the other threads unwinding before disappearing. The pain passes quickly and you look over the shaman.

Your 'eyes' shifting over him as you examine him closely, He looks to be in his late twenties. His clothing is simple, nothing more than animal skin garments. A thick, twisted, intricate looking skull mask rests on the top of his head. His scales are a greasy, yellow-green color. At the ends of his hands are four, short, serrated claws. His eyes are a dull silver.

The shaman reaches up and adjusts his mask before hissing out in a raspy, gravelly voice, "Oh great one....We of the Sud'kar thank you for heeding our call...It has been ages since a old one has awakened in our lands...Our tribe has been hunted to near extinction by the border tribes, I fear that we may not last for long without your assistance oh great one...But first, What may we call you exalted one?"

The other lizardmen shift curiously around the bonfire, clicking among themselves as they stamp their feet eagerly. Their harsh, guttural language echoing around your ears, becoming more and more familiar till you can understand them as clear as the shaman. Many thanks escape their lips before they fall quiet, shifting around. Their gazes seem to focus around your general area, but none of them appear to see you as the shaman can.

After hearing the shaman's speech, you feel your gaze turning inwards. Examining yourself for the first time since you had awakened within this world, Your body is shapeless, formless. You look further inwards, you can sense several spheres of great power lurking within you. Instinctively, you know that these are what will give you the means to shape and define the world as you see fit. With a shift, you brush a thin tendril of your mind across each sphere, learning about what powers they hold.

Fire, A sphere devoted to the fiery aspects of magic. Whether it's raining down fire upon those who offended you, or providing a spark of warmth to heat the cold, it all falls under this domain.

Life, A sphere devoted to the protection and healing of life. Whether it's bring a fresh breath of life into a field of crops, or healing a sickly individual, it all falls under this domain.

Water, A sphere devoted to the bringing of rain, whether to water the crops or turn the ground into a muddy mess to slow your foes, it all falls underneath this domain.

Earth, A sphere devoted to the ancient mountains of the old, turning ground fertile and plentiful with crops, or weakening the ground beneath your foes and sending them plummeting into the earth itself, it all falls under this domain.

Air, A sphere devoted to the great winds, Unleashing massive spirals of wind upon your foes that will destroy all that crosses their path, or lightening the load upon a villager, it all falls under this domain.

Death, A sphere devoted to the afterlife, Whether it's spreading a malicous disease amongst the crops of foe, or destroying a disease sicking your own, it all falls under this domain.

Withdrawing the tendrils back into your mind, you consider what the shaman said. Perhaps it would be useful to create a physical appearance for yourself in this world, so that the old shaman would not have to be the one to speak your words to your new followers. Perhaps a intimating form to strike fear into the hearts of them, or, perhaps, a more, subtle, diplomatic form could be required.

What is your name? What appearance shall you take? What spheres do you control? Answers in bold please.

A note on your appearance, If you choose to look like a demon out of hell, you can. But I'll be making people react to your appearance, so do give it a little thought. You can just give me a general idea of what you want to look like, or you can make it as specific as you like.
