Quickstrike to unbalance it or prevent use of arms!

Ok ol'bones, I've got you now.
You hack wildly at the downed skeleton, but it manages to block the brunt of your attacks with its shield. It forces you to take a step backwards with a brief thrust of its blade and uses the momentary reprieve granted from your repositioning to get back up to a kneeling position. It seems like it might be moving slightly slower than before, but you aren't sure. These aren't the best of conditions and you're actively slowing it down with your attacks anyway, so it's really hard to tell.


"Seems clear. Let us run like little girls and stop for nothing until we reach the store, yes?"

Make a break for the store. Try not to attract attention.

Well, you think that maybe you should try levitating things, but you keep finding yourself distracted by your worries about what Pantagruel thinks of you, and what's going on outside, and what's up with that drunk guy, and...



As Pantagruel attempts to open the warehouse window to climb back out, he suddenly feels a tremendous force shove down upon it, forcing his hand back and slamming it closed. The entire warehouse begins to creak, and suddenly the crane falls from the ceiling with astonishing speed, slamming into the ground with tremendous force that leaves a visible shockwave of dust and bits of flooring where it hit the ground and kept right on going through it and down into the wine cellar, accompanied by a startled scream from Gail down below which is quickly muffled just a moment later. Raynen feels his joints jamming together, as if he were under extreme pressure, his limbs locking in place. the creaking noises are growing louder and more common instant by instant, and you can see the various barrels and casks surrounding you beginning to leak.

It is encrusted with sharkmist and HMRC. On the item is an image of HMRC and Pancaek. Pancaek is laughing. The HMRC is melting. The artwork relates to the encasing of the HMRC in metal by Pancaek during the Mission of Many People.))

You press the attack, swinging blow after blow, only to be blocked again, and again, and again, and - OW!

You just been stabbed.

Your adrenaline keeps you up and awake. You can't afford to lose here. But you know you're going to need medical attention really soon, though you don't have the opportunity to inspect the wound and see exactly what the damage is.

The skeleton retracts its blade and resumes a defensive posture before you, readying itself for another assault.

Realizing that your idle worrying while calling upon your talent was the cause of all this, you calm yourself and put it away. The noises begin to fade and the pressure in the air subsides in response to-KAFWOOSH

Seeing the Raynen dashing for the side door and readying his cannon, you follow right behind him, ready to run through the opening as he makes it. however, while nearing the end of your mad dash for freedom, you slide and fall on a loose piece of debris from when the crane shattered the floor, slamming into the ground and cursing your poor luck, just before a giant fireball envelops the air above you. You get up, only mildly singed, though you're going to have to replace your suit when this is all over, and reconsider if that was poor luck after all.

The pressure on your joints suddenly relieves itself, so you take the opportunity to dash over to the side door of the warehouse screaming for everybody to get out and fire your fully charged capacitor cannon at the door to open it.

Fun fact about alcohol: it burns really, REALLY well when aerosolized. Remember how Every single barrel, cask, keg, etc in the entire warehouse you're inside was leaking pressurized booze? with the pressure released it went directly into the air.

and you just fired a giant laser through the middle of it.

You don't even have enough time to realize just how horrible of an idea this was before you're engulfed in a titanic fireball that sweeps you out the only opening available for the pressure to release itself through - the hole in the wall where a door used to be. All you know is that one moment you're fireing your cannon, the next you're inside a flaming lumber warehouse, your entire body twisted in all kinds of wrong ways, your metal limbs sagging, half-molten, and the very air around you is rapidly filling with dark smoke from the burning roofing tar beside you.


The warehouse is currently on fire, Raynen has disappeared, a large portion of the side wall has been blown away, and live embers are scattered everywhere. There is screaming coming from back downstairs, and all those barrels of booze at this point are potential bombs whenever the fire gets to them. the lumber warehouse next door is also on fire, though it isn't as widespread as in the warehouse you're currently inside, but one of the barrels of roofing tar inside was hit directly by the laser blast, and that stuff doesn't go out easilly and the entire stack is going up in flames. the air around you all is beginning to fill with toxic fumes, smoke, and ash, and the entire region is lit up like a beacon. As if the sound of the giant explosion wasn't enough attention drawn to this place. The family downstairs still hasn't come up and none of you can see what is happening down there.

in short: It's worse.


edit:

oh, I forgot to mention, everyone in the warehouse felt the air get sucked away to feed the fireball, but it came back just a moment later after the initial fireball finished escaping.

Attack with own sword, and aim for the wrists; preferably anything to keep the skeleton from using its own weapons or advantages.
If preferable: Aim to knock down. Wait for his strike first.

Help anybody who wishes to escape do so - particularly Joe, the hopefully unexploded Renard and Angel, as they seem to be nearest. After that's done, focus on my own escape.

((The warehouse is borked already, our hiding spot is no longer secure, so no real point in wasting rolls trying to keep it standing. Focus on staying with the group and trying to be stealthy.))
