((I was thinking about letting it die, but Draig's post in shrouded river + the fact that I'm finally clear of holiday trauma and actually have free time again to try to run this convinced me otherwise.

I edited the formatting slightly, is it better now or should I add more spacing?))

It is encrusted with sharkmist and HMRC. On the item is an image of HMRC and Pancaek. Pancaek is laughing. The HMRC is melting. The artwork relates to the encasing of the HMRC in metal by Pancaek during the Mission of Many People.))

Follow Pantagruel, staying low and quiet. If it's getting dark/is already dark, make a quick prayer to my god for help in being stealthy. disregard divine help, just try and be really stealthy

((Better! I'm more of a "empty line between each paragraph of game text" person myself, but it's not strictly necessary.

Although I'm not sure if it's not a better idea to just start over if you really want to run this game. I can't say I'm feeling terribly optimistic about this adventuring party's viability.))

I don't exactly want to run it tbh. but I want to have run it, and to have done a decent job at it.
So I'm doing it anyway, mostly as a kind of pride thing. I don't feel like I'm a good GM, but I know the only way I could become one is to practice, so I'm trying to make things work anyway.

as for the party's viability, in several ways the hardest part is past. the biggest danger to you all was your lack of information, now that you know what you're up against, and what triggers what, and so on, as well has having a sheltered place to return too as long as you don't reveal its location and get them all, including the healer, killed, you should be ok if you're careful.))

((I, for one, think you're doing a great job. Though I certainly know the feeling, I feel pretty bad about how my own game is going at the moment.

As for the party, I suppose we'll be fine as long as we aren't avoid confrontations for the most part. That would require me to actually get good rolls for once. fingers crossed.))

Keep. On. Running. Try to lose my attackers by getting out of view. Run quick, then find a spot to HIDE.

Edit: Lenglon, you're doing a GREAT job of being a GM. Much, much better. :)

((From my opinion, I take it Lenglon isn't doing the whole modern 'level'-type idea. I believe she thinks it like 'no intervals of level, but its in how the adventure goes--what items and skills you develop, and how the character evolves'.

Which i guess its in how the true concept shows, rather than...numerical advancements.))

((Tiruin has it right. If you want an example of advancement, notice that Akari's magic is more versitile than it used to be. Having said that, I do suggest that when you create a character you make sure it's someone you'll be happy playing as-is for a while. That's part of why I left it so open-ended.))

GM opinion: Tiruin is stealing Pancaek's luck, there's no other explanation for this.

Akari runs as best she can, trying to put distance between her and her skeletal pursuers, however she just. isn't. fast. enough. Though she manages to leave two of them in the dust, she finds three of them are faster than she is. She manages to duck the first one's blade, but as she does so another one jumps in front of her and swings its blade in perfectly placed horizontal slash, and she can't stop in time to avoid running directly into it. The adrenaline pumping through her veins makes everything seem to move dreadfully slowly, and she desperately tries to slow down, to change direction, anything, and it isn't enough. She watches the blade come closer, and closer, and... then the third skeleton behind her, the one she had nearly forgotten about, finishes trying to leap forward and slash downwards at her with its boney weight and momentum adding extra force to the blade... but it overshot her, and instead struck the skeleton in front of her, the one she had zero chance of avoiding. its blade shatters the skeleton's sword-arm, and cuts through and embeds itself in the skeleton's rib-cage. the two of them tumble to the ground in front of her, and she keeps on running past the heap of angry bones, with only one skeleton left chasing after her... again. Still, her wounded leg is beginning to give her some serious trouble. She's still able to run on it for now, but she's having trouble keeping her balance and using her fullest strides in her efforts to escape. (-1 to spd in following turns)

((In summary: the Jump-Slash is a dumb idea when you have teammates in close proximity))

ngghhh..now I remember why I hate pain.


Check back where my assailant is positioned-then calculate my strike against it as I..somehow turn around the next corner perhaps! Or just round about and attack it.

Try to locate one of the newcomers who doesn't look too scary. Talk with him/her.

((I agree with GWG. If you don't actually enjoy GMing this game, the players probably won't either. Honestly, that's one of the things in this game I do find rather off-putting, and I was about to mention it - it doesn't seem like you're particularly enjoying the game, and I'm not a big fan of keeping a GM chained to a game if they're sick of it.

Also, one last thing - are the walls of rolls really that necessary to display? I don't think they add much to the look of the posts or the flow of the game (given their wall-like nature and omnipresence and all). Perhaps spoilering them would be better. Or not posting them at all, and keeping them to yourself.))
