Mugabe lives in Zimbabwe, not Angola.

Disclaimer: I haven't looked at an atlas in a number of years, dropped geography ASAP, and refused to check a country list. Stereotyping of countries is merely poor humour rather than insults.

I shall start a petition to rename my country beerland. It's just that good.

I'm going to do the smart thing here and disengage. This isn't a hill I paticularly care to die on.

So there's been an image of a map of the US with states labelled by an Australian with very limited geographical knowledge doing the rounds on the 'Net recently...
I'd like to see that. Do you have a link or something?

I am amused by how Indiana has absolutely nothing in it.

I just tried to name all the counties of England. I can safely say I understand the layout of the USA, Australia and Canada better than I do England.

Spoiler: Here it is. (click to show/hide)

I had no idea what I was doing. 98% was guesswork.

Now let's see the English people here give this a go:

See how far you get. I have no idea what I'm doing with my own country's lieutenancies/traditional counties, I could identify modern regional authorities but I'd be hard pressed with medieval stuff like that. For bonus points try to guess where I'd be on that map.

Here's the map of England by the way if you're interested.

There would be little point me having a go at that. I would get the Welsh ones for obvious reasons, but would only put offensive things on the rest of the UK, based on my attempt at Africa earlier.

Well, I started fairly sensibly with Glasgow and Endinburgh, then got bored and started being silly again.

Would the "very good whisky" you allude to with respect to Orkney be "Highland Park" per chance? Your map is very accurate. There really is nothing in Caithness.

One amongst many. I do love Island whiskies much more than Highland or Speysides.

Wait, I had a brainfart there. Why did I label Corsica as Sicily?
