I can get behind that suggestion, being able to understand our prey will aid in their eventual consumption. +1

but being an amorphous blob confers soo much immunity to conventional forms of damage, have you ever tried to cut, stab, or crush a liquid? about the only way to harm us would be fire assuming that we are even flammable.
