Wrote the Mysterious Lost Appearance bubble back on my sheet. Pasted below for your convenience:

A strangely lean and gangly vision, appearing to be little but bone and muscle. She has long, dark hair which she usually keeps braided or otherwise bound while at sea to keep it out of her way, and she bears many marks of a rough life, both in scars and in weatherworn skin. While passable for human at a glance, three traits make it hard to conceal her fiendish heritage - first and foremost her darkly grey, whiteless eyes and the spots on her body where tiny feathers grows in sparse patches instead of hair. The third trait is her elongated nails - starting up by the second knuckle and growing over her fingers they and their matte, black colour is the cause of her byname.

Surrah, like many of her peers, has a certain taste for expensive clothes and jewelry and prefers to show off her wealth through such rather than lock coins away in chests.

Well, NE characters are more like evil mercenaries than regular mercenaries. A normal mercenary might fight in a battle, but he won't join a bandit gang and rob people. A NE mercenary would.
