Bump.
Seconded. I guess we don't have much to do at this point but wait for the IC thread.

Remuthra, does the Landlord feat from the Stronghold Builders guide count twoards ships as well as bases and the like?

It only counts for strongholds.

I would argue that it could, with Remuthra's permission, work just as well for ships, as the Oblivion is the equivalent of our base, except that it is a ship, not a fixed point on land.

At this point, you could not take the feat. It wouldn't make sense; where would the resources come from?

Problem is that not only is the feat used for building and upgrading a fort (And fluffed as knowing the right people for it), it also happens to be an allowance. We can't really do the same for the ship since we need to buy the entire thing wholesale.

It's just about money. As a pirate, you can raid places for resources.

Besides, just consider it an Aquatic Stronghold. Possibly one that moves. And, limit on space.

I would say that having a ship/stronghold would be more useful than a stationary building. If we really need a place to store things, a cave would work quite well.

But anyway, no one can take it for another 3 levels, so it's pretty much irrelevant.

We can only put so many things on a ship before we have to unload it, and we do need to make sure our goods are well secured.

Why have a ship once we can afford a sailing castle?
