Can anyone give me a world that has the 'gate' to hell opened via fortress mode? no matter how hard i try i cannot understand fortress mode and i want to go to hell with an adventurer.

How do you find these? :O I've been playing quite a bit of adventure, and I haven't found any.
Do you have to go through the caverns? I've found a cavern once, and I almost got lost after running around for 10 minutes.

There are plenty of caves scattered around that lead to the caverns, and on the third cavern layer there are entrances to hell (you'll know them when you see them). But cavern exploration is extremely dangerous, and not just because of the animals inside. Caverns, unless you mess with the worldgen settings, have large, open spaces as well as lots of tiny, dense passages that are frequently blocked by plantlife. That's the real danger: being blocked, getting lost, and then dying of starvation/dehydration. I would recommend becoming a necromancer or some similar creature of the night beforehand.

Once you get to the first cavern layer how do you find your way down further? Is it just a matter of wandering around aimlessly for long enough?

Yeah, there's at least one downward passage in every cavern that leads to the next layer. Keep finding those and you'll eventually get to final layer. From there on out it's your job to find the closest demonic fortress tent and walk into it to pull out the sword ticket so you can access hell the circus.

The greatest danger in the cavernens is sheer boredom. If you are unlucky you may wander for hours whitout finding a gate.

make sure you dont have to breath and bring something to knock out large creatures to suck blood XD

in my world ive found a cave, and it is flooded, and low on population, so now im going to search for a book to read as that will stop my bloodthirst

Or honestly start a fort, hit d-j and dig a downward stair. Then on the level below hit d x and enter, then scroll down to the lowest invisible level of the map and hit enter again. Now wait until dwarves have dug into a cavern or something and shift the course of the staircase to somewhere that isn't empty space until you are past all three caverns and into the magma sea. Then dig into all available candy spires. You should be done by the end of spring, even with the default crew (and id just bring all miners and 7 picks and booze and food)
