Kingdom Under Fire was a great series, until they got to Circle of Doom or whatever it was. KUF was an army builder/Real Time Tactics game. You'd have control of a single squad at a time (could highlight more but the ones you were controlling was where your camera was) and you could tell them to spread out/close in, charge, engage in combat, such and such. Really good campaigns that made you work for your wins, had to be smart and not just rush in everywhere hoping to win. Cash was also limited so upgrading the weapons/armor of your troops was hard work and balancing who needed what at the time. If you were on your general's squad and he closed into melee, you could take control of your general and use him to fight. Threw in an interesting aspect to the game.
The multiplayer was interesting, allowing games up to 1v1 to 3v3 if I remember correctly. Everyone had their custom-made armies, and you got EXP for how well each squad did during the fight. After the fights you could use the EXP that was assigned to each squad to level up their certain stats, which in KUF2 could be anything between their melee skill to their Holy Magic.
First two were great, Circle of Doom was a pretty big flop because it tried to be an MMO and kinda sucked at it (truthfully though I'd like to go back and check it out again and see if it's as terrible as I remember it).
