James Bond: Nightfire
Ah... I loved that game back in my younger years. I think it was the first T rated game I was allowed to buy. Playing splitscreen with someone really made the game more enjoyable.

Anyone of the equivalent to the royal bloodline in a nomadic group would have a sun tattooed on their hand, or a scrotum on their forehead (it's a little-known fact that fraternities are based off of long-forgotten tribes).

Warlords: Battlecry 3. So much fun in so many ways.
Oh man, this I can agree with. Nothing beats playing as the knights, and you get about two dozen knight lords. Never got why they decided to make attack speed a part of morale though, the method in the previous instalment worked nicely. Also the prevalence of unit with assassination.

On that note though, Warlords Battlecry 2, oh the joy I had with that. A lot more... meshed than it's sequel, and actually plays very decently as an RPG/RTS mix (WBC 3 always had a bit of a focus on stomping the foe with my retinue early though, but I kinda did that here so what do I know :P )

I used to have a Minotaur hero with a ludicrous amount of named minotaur kings in his retinue.  There's nothing quite like seeing a horde of giants chasing after an exact replica (albeit tiny and with a flag) and watching them just destroy everything they come into contact with (Dragons or titans be damned!).

Good times.

Oh I have a similar thing, just less minotaurs and more human/knight hero and several dryads. Fun times when the damage you sling around happens to be unblockable :P

Other games though, that I haven't seen being discussed?  Hmm...

I haven't seen any threads about Dungeon Siege, though that game is probably dead in terms of online play, or sequels.  Is anyone else extremely perturbed by what they did to Dungeon Siege III?  I couldn't bring myself to play that game for more than 2 hours; game lost all it's appeal to me when it stuck me in severely limited roles.

I played through Dungeon Siege 1...was bored by it.  It took me all of my willpower to actually play through the entire game from beginning to end because it was so repetitive.

With WL:BC3, I never really used the retinues very much, actually I usually just played in the skirmish mode, and turned down the army points until it was just enough for a builder or two. I preferred to actually build stuff.

I really liked Dungeon Siege, the second one was pretty good, too. I won't even try the third one, though, after I heard about it.

I found Dungeon Siege 1 similar. From what I remember I got up to the castle right at the end, then... the difficulty ramped up a lot or something and I never finished it. Subsequent playthroughs I'd get as far as the ice caves or the canyon area. Something that always annoyed me in the game was any items you found in an area you'd only have the stats for once you were most of the way through the next area.

Another game... hmm... Captain Comic anyone? I used to play that on Windows 3.1 and had great difficulty with this one jump on the moon. Also the damn teleport wand in the purple caves was confusing to use. Those stupid green toad-things didn't help either.

I LOVE Warlords Battlecry 3. Its the best RTS ever just because of heroes and so many damn races. I liked to play Undead mostly. I also mainly prefer base building to retinues.

There is a big thread about a possible number 4 on the official forums, mostly the creator asking what people wanted from a new one. Sadly its unlikely to ever get made.

I used to mostly piss around with my friends on the map with the skilift. It was so simple a thing to have a metal box that slides up and down the map, but nontheless so entertaining.

I'm trying out Cities Platinum XL for the first time today. (It came with one of my Humble Bundles a while back.) I'm having mixed feelings. Some parts of it are excellent. But some parts are horrid. The fact that you can't tilt the camera to see the elevation of the land is just a terrible oversight. The tutorial is full of mistakes and glitches, and the game is somewhat buggy overall. I'm not giving up on it yet, but I'm curious whether any of you guys have some experience with this one.

Tomenet: real-time online roguelike game based on angband (or more specifically, MAngband - multiplayer angband) and thus LotR. However, the real-time nature makes it a bit more grindy than traditional roguelikes. No relation to Tales of Maj'eyal.

Kingdom Under Fire was a great series, until they got to Circle of Doom or whatever it was.  KUF was an army builder/Real Time Tactics game.  You'd have control of a single squad at a time (could highlight more but the ones you were controlling was where your camera was) and you could tell them to spread out/close in, charge, engage in combat, such and such.  Really good campaigns that made you work for your wins, had to be smart and not just rush in everywhere hoping to win.  Cash was also limited so upgrading the weapons/armor of your troops was hard work and balancing who needed what at the time.  If you were on your general's squad and he closed into melee, you could take control of your general and use him to fight.  Threw in an interesting aspect to the game.

The multiplayer was interesting, allowing games up to 1v1 to 3v3 if I remember correctly.  Everyone had their custom-made armies, and you got EXP for how well each squad did during the fight.  After the fights you could use the EXP that was assigned to each squad to level up their certain stats, which in KUF2 could be anything between their melee skill to their Holy Magic.

First two were great, Circle of Doom was a pretty big flop because it tried to be an MMO and kinda sucked at it (truthfully though I'd like to go back and check it out again and see if it's as terrible as I remember it).

I loved Jak 1-3, 2 frustrated the hell out of me, but that made finally succeeding very satisfying.  Jak X was hard in the 'unfair advantage to AI' category, after a while the sheer douchbaggery of the other racers just got painful (never did finish it)  The Lost Frontier was just bad period.

I also really liked the concept and style of Crackdown1-2, while not the best sandbox games I loved every moment of my evolving Agent's war across the city.
