what has MW:DF done for/to me ...

I just got my laptop back after over a month being shipped around the world under warranty, and the first things i do are update drivers, various bits of software, then go and download the latest masterwork DF ...


Does anyone else discover that for some reason any[size=78%] new version of something DF related somehow ends up at the top of the "i guess i should download this" list?[/size]

DF is usually one of the first things that goes onto my computer as well.

Skydrive desktop app is one of the first things that goes on for me.  Then it synchs up all of my DF stuff, including the current saves, since I play out of the Skydrive synch folder.  ;)

I can continue my current game from any computer that I have access to.

Give a dwarf a Fishpond, couple of buckets, build a Fishery, and enable Fishfarming labor; you feed him for a lifetime. (And get someone to clean and prep the fish)

Ditto.  Nothing tells me how much New > Old than booting up DF.

World Gen!
Fortress Mode!
Adventure Mode!

And for extra fun, I set DF to show FPS.  Nothing like a true numerical comparison!

Dropbox for me. Let's me play on work laptop as I travel weekly. Thinking of getting the new Surface Pro 2. Anyone trying DF with a touchscreen?

Seems like most DF commands are keyboard only.

I am both tickled and horrified by the idea of playing DF on my Surface.
