Yes.
You have a copper and a malachite deposit in the same place. You can gather one of them, not both. (Malachite needs to be gathered specially, as it's a magical crystal thingy mineral stuff.)

Alright, so are we trading Mana Crystals and Elemental Magic for Mana Wells and Apprenticeship? And 10ebbor10, is there a limit or penalty related to technology trades?

There really should be a limit or penalty. But so far, there isnt one.

The current penalty is that the tech starts at at least one level below that of the other player. Not much of a penalty so far. I'll see what I can do.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Anyway, here are some options to discourage science trading.

1) Forbid it.
2) Make it dependent on a dice roll. (Ie, there's a chance it won't catch on)
3) Make it count like you researched it (Ie, increase costs for next research)
4) Implement cultural osmosis (Ie, if many people have a tech, those that don't get it too)
5) Something else

5) Make trade only for inventions, making one able to get techs from other nations (with their consent) to make inventions... Like  Nation A uses it's own tech A, and tech from another nation AND paying full tech cost

For example something like that :

Noticing how effective ranged combat techniques of Oedogi are, Whala decided to adopt it for their own use and create their own javelin throwers, light mobile units with deadly throwing spears ( Aggressive doctrine+Ranged combat(Oedogi) )

Or stuff that Tryrar made with artillery+enchantment

So, I propose that bought (or stolen, or acquired from trade\random interaction\events) techs of other nations being listed in a separate list, usable for inventions (but not as effective as it would be if one knew it fully)  but not giving direct bonus (For example, in no way livestock breeding techniques can directly benefit breeding whales)
Maybe allow to turn it into a full tech for a half invention points cost?, I think better not, because one can get real level from invention

That can be applied retroactively for the trade made earlier without hurting anyone

It will be beneficial to trade techs, but nations that no trade them will not lag behind techwise

Awkward. Since innovations are how we level up techs. If I use your A, and my B to invent something, shouldnt I get A at level 0, or 1? I didnt have it. I created an invention with it. Therefore on a good roll, I should see some improvement in my level of the tech.
