Actually, untrue.

It is calculated after priority is done, but not after move order. I use Megabomasnow, I know this.

Interesting; I already knew about abilities because of M.Banette, but I pulled the information on speed as well from Bulbapedia.  Plus, looking it over, M.Garchomp has 90 base speed, so it should be impossible to outspeed a Timid Chatot with speed investment (91 base speed) unless it was calculating using the 100 base speed of a regular Garchomp.  At least, assuming it's a Timid Chatot and not Modest.  Modest could be outsped.

Well, perhaps it was modest.

Well, now that OU isn't beta anymore and all the kind of annoying pokemon that could only be seen on pokebank are also there, I will limit myself to battles between friends. On almost every single match I join, they are with TF, that steel and fairy key, sableye, yeah you get my point. Try-hard teams, and yet thinking they are super duper awesome.

Sableye is awesome you shut your mouth.

It's okay Sableye, he didn't mean it...who cares if you finally have a weakness now...or if Mega-Banette outstrips you in most ways...I still love you, at least.

yeah, OU is contaminated. and to think that it was lacking diversity last gen!

But at least last gen, you had rain, sun, sandstorm and weatherless teams, for at least 4 different varieties.

Now you only run into weatherless, and good luck finding a match where the enemy does not have Talonflame, Rotom-Wash (to counter the Talonflame of the enemy), and any combination of scizor, lucario, ferrothorn, greninja, aegislash, the two ex-ubers that are totaly not overpowered Genesect and Exadrill and maaaybe up to 2 variety mons, usualy Tyranitar and other not-really-diverse mons, all in the top OU lists.

OU has become terribly shallow. There is only one type of team that remains.

I removed Jirachi (painfully, for it is one of my favourites) from the magical girl team, so once lower tiers shake out, I can at least play my favourite team in UU. Assuming mega-mawile becomes UU, but I think it might

Made a few tests with a new monotype team, a steel team. Clearly successful, even against those copy paste teams on OU.

Steel has the widest array of secondary types, and is full of absolute powerhouses. It can cover all of it's weaknesses via immunities (flash fire on heatran, skarmory, aegislash), and resist pretty much everything else. steel is naturaly successful as monotype

I was thinking about making a team just with heavy weights, like Regice, Registeel, Regirock, Regiggas and others to fill the spot like Aggron, but probably not a good idea, especially now. Unless it is a fight with friends.

And yeah, steel mono can win plenty of fights, especially because of Lucario and Mawile, those two are killing machines. And when you have a Magnezone with choice scarf to spam volt switch, luring them to use fire attacks on you before swapping to Heatran, they get annoyed pretty fast.

a team with the various regis on would definetly need one or better two ghosts around, to safe them from fighting moves. apart from fighting moves though, a team full of the regies would make for an excellent stalling team. put toxic on them, and will-o-wisp on the ghosts and bam...you get screwed over by something with magic guard, but oh well
