"Such weak flames do not threaten you!  Endure!"  Swift Action: Activate Demand Fortitude aura; allies within 60 feet gain +4 to Fortitude saves.

Nock an arrow and target the one from whom the fire originated.  Attack +5, d6.

"HEY! MONKEY FRIENDS NO PLAY WITH MATCHES! IS DANGEROUS!

Orgarr jumps from the boat (if needed) and spears another monkey.

"Holy Piss-bucket! What the hell kind of monkey are these? No, not monkeys... Abominations!" Holdron cried as he charged at the nearest monkey.

Move to closest monkey, partake in diplomacy using my sword.

Rohan ducks behind his shield further at the gout of flame.

"Oh, of course they can cast spells..."

He turns to the paladin in the boat.

"Bethany! These creatures surely possess a degree of intelligence and sentient thought! What if they aren't evil and are simply misguided? Could you check for us, while there is still time and some alive?"

Total Defence. Keep providing cover.

"Good call Rohan... Lets see what is up with these things..." Bethany focuses a stern gaze on the beasts.

Detect Evil! And call out the result!

PM'd speech for monkeys.
Also, use fairy-fire on the mage. If he does work for a bunch of Drow, he should know what that means...
Of course, he'd be wrong in this case, but still.

Eli had realized he was a moment too late to dodge the fire when he heard the snap of a spell coming at them. At the last moment, he managed to shield his face, but took the brunt of it otherwise.

Not good for my first day, I suppose.

...

Now, he was quite singed and getting annoyed. The scar on his face was pulsing an angry purple, quite visible now.

He began taking off his cloak and using it to pat the flames down, mindful of the fact their boat was on fire.

Action: Put full actions into patting out the flames

Ashura watched as the other canoe burst into flames and for a moment she froze her eyes full of fear. With some effort she managed to tear her gaze away instead focusing on the monkey that cast the spell, she couldn't let the same happen to her canoe. Aiming her crossbow she fired at the spell casting money, praying that he would die before he could finish his next spell.

"Marini, my faithful friend.  Care to help me get a live one?" Marini mews his agreement.  "Splendid!"  The pair of cats continue to creep inland, aiming to get behind the beasts without being seen.  They look for an opportunity to attack one by itself or attack any fleeing beast.  Marini fishes around his back and shakes loose a tanglefoot bag.  Maru for her part keeps keeps a piece of wool between her paws, ready to cast daze as her opening gambit before following up with a tanglefoot bag.

Init:
Morazin  21 - Fire Cone of Fire.
Steffan  18 - Unburn Boat
Maru     18 - Cast Daze on the monkey. Remind Maru that he can't throw tanglefoot bags without hands.
Kalnaf   18 - Fortitude Aura/Shoot Arrow
Orgarr   16 - Spear another Monkey
Ashura   14 - Crossbow Monkey.
Eli      14 - Unburn Boat
Bethany  13 - Detect Evil
Monkey F 10 - Monkey Business
Monkey A  7 - Monkey Business
Rohan     6 - Total Defence
Monkey B  4 - SPELLCASTER
Vray      4 - Talk to Monkey. Faerie Fire Monkey B
Ashii     4 - Attack B. WITH GREAT ANGER.
Holdron   2 - Sword a Monkey.

Upon seeing the monkey cast its spell, everyone leaps into action, outraged by the beast. Morazin launches a cone of flame that burns the spellcaster and its companion, followed soon after by Kalnaf (1d20+5=16, 1d6=3, Monkey B is hit and wounded) and Ashura's (1d20+4=23, 1d20+4=5 does not confirm crit, 1d10=8, Monkey B is hit and dies)  bolts. The spellcaster is dead, unable to reply to Vray's entreaties. Maru dazes one monkey as it attempts to flee, only for Orgarr to spear it (1d20+7=16 3d6+8=20; Monkey F dead) once he gets onto the shore.

The last of your attackers flees into the trees, screaming profanity in it's unearthly ape-tongue. Maru tries to stop it with a tanglefoot, bag, but seems unable to do so - her paws are simply not dexterous enough to make the throw. As it escapes, Bethany detects no evil in the creature: it appears as any other wild beast.

While the combat raged, Eli and Steffan managed to extinguish the ship using river water and their cloaks. If the party wishes, they may collect the five fallen monkeys for examination. There is a standing bounty of 10 gold per pelt for these unnatural creatures, and the pouch clutched by their spellcasting leader may yet give some clue to their true nature. Else, they could split off here and try to track the beast into the wilds, if that their desire.

"Ach, stupid bastard monkeys. Everyone okay?" Holdron asked before turning towards the members of his boat "Now see lads? Was that so hard to protect a party member? Ah well..." Picking up one of the corpses Holdron smiled "I think I'll keep this one."

Grab some of the monkey corpses. Keep one, place the others onto the boat to sell later.

Her rage guttered out like a candle in a gale, crushing emptiness slamming in. With a groan, she clutched her head and slumped back in the boat.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Vray shakes her head, sighs, and grabs the spellcaster's body and pouch, then gathers the bows and arrows and stores them in the canoe.
She then copies down the speech of the spellcaster, including her best guess(es) at the untranslateable bit, to her notebook.
