I saw this today over at IndieGames.com and thought I'd share it with you.

I absolutely adore the art style and the slight twist upon the Zombie genre (the outbreak is caused via a malfunctioning implanted chip as opposed to a virus) as well as giving a little variation in the end goal - package delivery as opposed to pure survival or escape, check out the information packed Kickstarter here:

It looks like it's going to comfortably make it's modest goal, too.

Reminds me of Alien Shooter 2.
In fact i'd go as far as saying it's almost the same game with retro graphics... and possibly some elements from Autoduel http://www.lemonamiga.com/games/details.php?id=102

Looks promising imo.

That is a great question.
The game progression happens with completing world events.

When a package delivery mission begins, the world map is generated randomly (think nodes around you in FTL). World map consists of sectors, and each sector represents a level. These levels are connected with each other, so sometimes it takes more than one level to resurface on the world map again and keep travelling. Some travelling is done on foot, and some using the delivery truck (which is moddable and upgradable as well).
As you make your journey across the world map to the destination point, you see a lot of events around you, and having a crew member with a high leadership skill makes a scouting for them more efficient.
Among these events are secret locations, boss fights, new character discovery and the storyline missions. And that is how you progress in the game!

That game design allowed us to give players the freedom to take their time and scavenge for loot, or otherwise just finish the story.
In our future updates we will cover lore.

And also, coming up in a week we are preparing a web-demo! Hope you guys will stop by and check it out.

So if i understand right your game is a cross between Alien/Zombie Shooter and FTL?
As in one playthrough takes less than an hour focusing on getting from point A to B with confederates on your six BUT letting you unlock various stuff on the way for use in future games?

Every character is unique and has a different set of skills, but not all of them are available right away since your portfolio expands throughout the game with your progress and finding new members along the way."

Does this mean that there's a rotating roster available for each mission and we'll be given a selection, or we'll have the full roster of available members to choose from at any given time?

(I'm somewhat hoping it's the former-- "What do you mean my usual gunner has been hired out as a guard for the prom? I need to head through THERE with Mr. Rookie?!")

Sorta, but it is heavily strategy-oriented, since simply going from point A to B will not get the job done. Players will need placed strategically and utilize different weapons and skills to safely travel across the map. Simply trying to blast through hordes of zombies is extremely difficult, and with permadeath and destructible environments (explosives, spreading fires, collapsible walls) players will have to think twice before making their next move.

The portfolio contains a set of characters. Some of them are locked, and some of them aren't. As the game progresses and you find/rescue other characters, the portfolio expands by unlocking some of its members.
