Welcome to my second forum game! In this you are one of a group of eight people in a small town deep in the wilds of (insert generic cold forest si-fi world here). Unlike many games you are not in the village to kill or defend it, simply to keep them healthy.
Character things!
There are four "classes". Medic, with a bonus to healing people, Heavy, who gets a MGL, a HMG or a rocket launcher (not all of them!), Assaults, who gets a bonus with SMGs and close quarters and the Rifleperson, with a bonus with the standard rifle and also get some nice toys at somepoint.
Now for the weapons:
RM99 Revolver:5 round, 10 damage, 4.2 lb
RM88 Battle Rifle:25 round, 10 damage, 10.1 lb
RM51 Assault rifle:50 round, 5 damage, 7. lb
RM2000 Submachine gun:25 shot, 0 damage, 4.9 lb
RM103A Automagnum: 10 shot, 5 damage, 4.4 lb
All of the above all use the same round, the 8x40mm caseless, which has a base 32 damage.
RM216 SPIW: 100 round, 12 damage, 4.6 lb, uses 5.50 armor-piercing flechette cartridges, bonus vs. armor
Carl Gustav M3:Uses FFV441B HEs, FFV502 HEDPs, FFV469s.
FFV441B HE: 10 damage, 50 damage explosive
FFV502 HEDP: 10 damage, bonus vs. armor, buildings as its 50 explosive is shaped towards what it hits.
FFV469: Smoke rounds. You are only gonna kill someone with this if you hit them with it.
Random Generic HMG: 300 Rounds, Damage 35, weight 30lb
Random MGL: 6 rounds grenades, grenades listed below. 11.25lb
Acid: 5 damage, creates acid (acid douse continuous 30 damage)
Beanbag: 30 damage
Concussive: 5 damage, explosion produces another 50.
Flashbang: 5 damage, deafens, blinds and otherwise stuns.
Frag: 5 damage, explosion is 10 damage, shrapnel is another 30.
Flechette: 64 damage
Buckshot: 70 damage, useless vs armor
smoke; 5 damage, smoke that has no damage.
teargas: 5 damage, creates smoke that harms those without a gasmask.
Incendiary: 5 damage, fire is about the same as acid but spreads.
Equipment!
Each person gets a radio headset, a uniform, a combat knife, a small first aid kit and there weapons. Everyone will also get a pistol and a HUD system. Also other things may show up. I dunno.
Plot!
On the world I am gonna call "Lyons" (pronounced lyons or Leon, depending on if you knew what the name came from (hint, the french one)) there are two main groups, The "Blues" and the "Maroons". There are also the "greens", the unaffiliated members of the population. In the town of "Newest York", a green settlement, there have been various medical issues, ranging from the once-eradicated polio to the "new" AIDS, the old AIDS turning out to be a really bad joke*. So a squad of Maroons where sent to go heal the buggers, and mostly got shunned away as they did not bother to bring Tea*. A group of Blues where also sent, numbering about 20 in all, and as they HAD brought Tea they are now safely ensconced in the town, while you lot are left in a random cabin outside of the town.
