A few more questions Remuthra, then I'll stop for the time being. What's the average population of a settlement out here, and what are the largest cities here? Also, what's the climate here like?

Finally Have you done anything in regards to the Drow? I may not have done anything pertaining to my background yet, but I do intend to work on it and this constitutes a large part of it.

Anyone have any idea how much a 3' by 3' wooden crate costs?

No idea. Just buy a few barrels instead.

But what's the capacity? I have to plan to feed seven people on a sea voyage that could last from a week to three months. That means investing in fresh water, rations, and grog/ale. And that's just MY people! We haven't even gotten to the rest of the party and the hirelings!

Dunno, they don't have a capacity. Just assume they can hold about 200-300 pounds of food.

Water, you just need barrels. Though keep an eye on how may of those you bring, it gets heavy, since a month's worth of water for 20 people weights about 3 tons.

Can we get a ruling on this, Remuthra?

Eh, it's just storage. All you really need it for is water. And since a sack can hold about 100 pounds, and assumable that a barrel can hold a few when they're full.

Though if you're on team evil, just put the money into the communal fund for the ship and I can sort it out

Team Evil doesn't have to worry about water. Create Water is a spell I know.

...Well, that dramatically cuts our water consumption for 20 people. I was hoping to put in some extra crew quarters so we can cart around more people though so... >.>

Do you have Purify Food and Drink? That alone should bump you up to 24 gallons per day.

Edit: Also, I am definitely on Team Evil, but I need to budget for my thralls first. Still have 21k gp left though, so that's something.
Edit 2: Most days, I don't need to eat or drink as a racial. So that's something.

Hm. That would probably work on salt water. Roughly quadruple my aqueous output.
