Using the mining corvette as ferry was good that one time. What we really need / want are factories on that moon that are able to zerg whoever proves to be our enemy.

Our stores are close to full?! Time to make good on that. The 4X way.
I agree with both of these comments, although we should probably finish fixing our rings while we are at it.

Research:
  • Captured vehicles and weaponry
  • Counter missile missiles
  • LASER resistant armour  (Ablative and/or Refracting)
After completion of the above research:
  • Begin research into a destroyer designed to incorporate LASER resistant armour and conventional armour, CMMs, Railguns, and able to deploy Spider Drones to ground targets from drop-pods (to be designed) and from hard vacuum drone carriers (to be designed).
  • Begin research into a Drone Atmospheric Drop Pod, able to carry a fireteam of 5 drones from orbit to the ground, intact.  One time use.  Can be recovered and recycled for materials.
  • Begin research into a Hard Vacuum Drone Transport, able to carry 2 fireteams (10 drones) or more through vacuum from ship to ship.  Drones are rack mounted, designed to use minimal materials.
  • Begin research into ground/low-grav construction units.

Construction:
If the current solar array is not enough to run our external facilities:
  • Basic Solar Power Arrays to run Primaris, Drydock 1, and the four Automated Mines.
  • Sub-Space Power Transfer Stations for the new arrays and for Drydock 1.
To be done anyways:
  • 2 "Hunter-Killer" Frigates and requisite supplies
  • 2 PD turrets for Mining Frigate
  • 3 Orbital Railgun Shells
  • 10 more Eybots
  • 1 Improved Passive Sensor Hub
  • 50 Ammuniton
General:
  • Test the new Kraken Model 5 warhead in deep space, on the other side of the asteroid field from the moon.
  • Send ammunition to Primaris.
Thoughts:
Hopefully we can use this time to build our space-going capability to eventually leave the meat behind, once we've finished with them.  It should also provide us some space superiority in case the Technocracy has some space-going capability.  Soon we'll have to build our ground fighting capability with more fighter-bombers, escort fighters, artillery, heavier infantry with the tactics needed to use them, and other vehicle mounted heavy weapons.  We're probably going to want to reverse-engineer all of our drone types.  Then we may want to do research into nano-tech infiltrators or some such for sabotaging the Technocracy.

What we want to do is send some scd's to the larger hatches and use them to make openings for our eyebots to search them.

Also swap the research positions of low grav construction and counter missile missiles.
we already have point defence turrets and our energy weapons research will allow us to make anti missile defenses that dont drain our precious resources.

Clearly running multiple missions at the same time is a terrible idea.  The epic battle to see which team can cock it up worse has escalated again.

And Larry kinda gets blueballed in all this; just left with a raging bone spear and no where to put it.

With a vast amount of new work to undertake you send out orders to your many fabrication facilities and within moments they are all abuzz with the sounds of work, it won't be long before your Eye Drones, Orbital Railgun shells, and more are ready for use. With that under way you check your current power situation and find that you should be set on power for some time, your Solar Array Complex and Generator are more then enough to power your current facilities though you doubt you'd be able to power both weaponry and the manufacturing aspects of your facilities at the moment. With that you turn your attention to your primary concern, disassembling the stuff you salvaged from the planet and developing further construction capabilities, ships, and ground assets.

In your research endeavors you manage to successfully design ground based construction units, one use drop pods capable of carrying single fireteams to the surface, and minimalistic transports fit for carrying two fireteams through the void of space. Of course you also design several more impressive things such as a Droid Carrier Frigate and most importantly ablative armor which you think will be of much use against the Technocracy should they decide to go against your plans.

With all other projects done you decide it is time to test the Kraken Model 5 Warheads in the far side of the asteroid belt, loading the missile into one of the launchers you do some quick calculations ensuring facility safety before launching it. The missile flies along the path and collides with its target, the resulting explosion is ... less than satisfactory as you report only a slight rise in the power of the warhead, despite your expectations the new warhead is only a slight step up.

Thanks for the update.  I'll get right to figuring out what I think should be done/researched next.

-Heavy energy weapon, crew served, maybe one drone with the weapon, another with the power source
-Laser. Cannon. Tank.

Construction:

-Another Solar Array so we can run weapons and production
-5 Tactical Nukes
-50 drones with light energy weapons
-20 Drop pods
-1 Carrier Frigate "CDF Armand" ("A-Class" Carrier, Drone, Frigate)
-10 SDTs (Space Droid Transport)

Later we'll want to develop our force of fighters, bombers, etc.  Then get some armour piercing weapons.  Then begin seeding some other parts of the asteroid belt with backup facilities.  Right now what I'm suggesting will hopefully give us some tactical flexibility in the future to deal with situations as they arise.
