We should figure out how to build those ships, right?
Eventually, yes.

So:
2 droids => Finish the mine
3 droids => Build Research installation (or power if needed for the mine)

Let's do some sweeps with the radar, and build some more construction droids.

You spend a few minutes starting up several dozen programs and subroutines wired together into an intricate mass of data running itself and controlling the various aspects of the construction endeavors you have decided to undertake. With that done you turn the remainder of your force to the Radar Array and begin your work, rerouting power from unused systems, changing a snippet of code here or a minor program there until finally the systems screeches to life as long unused gears, levers, chains, and other moving parts move into action. Soon enough the array is scanning the space far beyond your current home, reaching out to chart or at the very least get a vague outline of the system you find yourself in. What the radar displays is quite promising, you find that besides the moon and what you believe to be the remnants of a planet there are three other planetary bodies in this system that could be of great use to you, extremely great use in fact all things considered.

The first planet is closest to the sun, an abysmal little scorched rock orbiting close enough to the sun that you believe it would require special heat shielding for you to get anything on that planet and keep it from being fried in a few minutes. The second planetary body, and a planet farther from the sun then your tiny moon, is a terrestrial world that (from what you can tell at this distance) is primarily covered by water (in fact at this distance it very well might be entirely covered by water). Finally, the third planetary body is a massive gas giant tinged various shades of green and purple and thriving with massive storm systems that sweep across and throughout its body. Your array can't quite tell if the planets have moons in orbit around them or not at this distance sadly.

With those observations done you turn your attentions back to your current location and find that both the Automated Mine and your Research Lab (having been constructed inside your Shell) ready for any projects you might wish to undertake. With a decent sized group of SCDs at your command you should be able to expand well enough for the time being, but you find your resources have dwindled greatly from the rather small amount of expansion you have already undertaken ...

Lets search for junk data in our databanks, standard data removal doesn't delete everything, it should be possible to get at least snippets of data about what the crap happened if we dig enough and figure out how to decode the stuff.

Also build a research station and disassemble any ship we don't know how to make for the tech and blueprints.

Also build a research station ...
Check the Shell Status under Station Facilities, you've already got a research station unless your looking to build another one that is.

BUILD ALL THE RESEARCH STATIONS! WE SHALL BE SCIENCE INCARNATE!

Actually, we're pretty short on resources, so let's not do that. After, we haven't even got anything to do for our research station yet.

Let's construct 3 Hauler drones (filling out all our drone bays) to move the resources from our mine to our ship.
The Harvesters continue gathering resources.
The SCD's can either construct another automine, or start repairing our station (for the latter, they're allowed to salvage the remnants of parts that would need to be replaced to fix the others)
Also, here are some projects for the research system
-"Eye" Scout Drone (A very simple scout drone intended to be deployed in bulk, information of all the individual drones can then be combined to get the same effects as if there were a massive sensor)
-Wireless power transfer (We have a very good generator on our station, and wireless power transfer would also allows us to centralize our power assets were they can easily be defended)
-Resource Refinery (Refines normal resources to more advanced ones)

+1, if we can do all that.

Hey, this seems like an interesting premise!

Does our AI know how to make another artificial intelligence?

Also, Are there any records within our system of FTL travel? Things like wormholes, warp drives, or hyperspace. If not, we might want to make FTL research a priority after we have our preliminary resource collection systems online.

This, but also see if we can look into building another drone bay, same size as the last one.
