I think we should examine our reactor. After all, if we came back online, it's probably because it did.

Run diagnostics on essential systems, create list of status of systems; locate all directly controllable objects and compile database; attempt to locate all nearby objects and categorize them with a threat level, object type, and object value (valuable meteor would be 1,Meteor,high. Level 1 because something might be in a crevasse or crater in it , it is obviously  a meteor, and value high due to minerals and metals in it.), scan insides of our current body, ensure nobody or nothing is inside.

Ah sorry if I was unclear, the hull is mostly plating and empty space for expansion in the spikes while in the rings there are internal maintenance tunnels and thats about the only wasted space. The rest is filled with wiring, capacitor banks, databanks, more plating, etc.

You run a series of subroutines and programs as you stir the harvester drones to life, and begin to dig through their internal databanks in the hopes that perhaps they could work as repair and maintenance. Unfortunately you find that the harvester drones weren't made with even field repairs in mind, from what you can gleam from the databank they were created to work in neutral or friendly space where they were unlikely to be harmed so your creators thought it wasn't needed. At the same time you conduct a search of your blueprints and databanks in search of hull plating, what you find instead is a construction drone, titled 'Space Construction Drone Model 14' though the blueprints also point out the usual designation for them are SCDs, which act both as maintenance and construction drones.

Curious of why you finally took action now you scan your internal structure for any signs of ... well anything, and your results come up with the fact that nothing has been inside your shell in a long long time. However as you examine your reactor you find something strange, until you decided to take action it had been running at minimum capacity and now that you were active it was going full power to restore power to all areas of the station. Expecting the worse you reach out and examine the world around your shell, what awaits you is quite surprising however as you find no signs of invaders, only the cold emptiness of space and wonderfully enough the moon you orbit.

Right from the start you know the body to be a moon but when you turn your sensors searching for the planet you find only a field of asteroids hanging limp and unmoving. You sense no threats as you scan the asteroid field and the moon, but a sense of something kin to uncertainty triggers in your subroutines as you examine what should have been a planet. Beyond the asteroid field you can see a bright yellow star glowing and radiating heat and light out through space though the planet that should have been its companion is nowhere to be found.

Guys... that's no moon...

We should probably get some SCDs up and running?

Sounds like good idea.

Ok, apparently something blew up our planet. Let's examine our orbital trajectory. If it's stable, and matches old records, that means that most of the mass of the planet is still there, and considering it hasn't formed back into planet(oid) yet, the destruction must have been rather recent. (Astronomical scale, of course).

But yeah, let's build 5 SCD's and start mining operations. We should have a pretty good chance of finding technological artifacts in the debris fields. Remnants from other satellites could've survived.

You activate the Advanced Fabrication Unit and set it to produce five SCDs, within moments the required metals are brought up and work begins as the machinery within your shell starts piecing together a frame and the components to fill it. As the Fabrication Unit grinds away at its work load you send the Hivemind drones out to begin gathering resources from the asteroid field beyond, the four drones begin to spiderweb their way across one of the larger asteroids inspecting areas for minerals, digging up small deposits, and marking larger deposits for later use as they carry out the job they were made to. Its not long before the first of the SCDs works its way out of the Fabrication Unit and begins to buzz around your shell as it ensures all of its parts are in working order.

With the first SCD done you look for your databank for templates, designs, and blueprints for structures that the SCD is designed to construct and bring into your network. What you find is quite amazing, stored in your databanks are the plans for simple automated mines, small naval shipyards, defense platforms, research labs, and more all at your disposal. Whoever created you put a lot of foresight into your creation to allow for expansion, and ensure your survival and the accomplishment of whatever your purpose might have been before your databanks were wiped. With more resources now coming in, and a rather great abundance of it given the circumstances you feel you could do well here, at least for now since who knows what might be out there ...

With your primary objective done you turn your attentions to your trajectory and that of the asteroid field around you, you find its stable and in rather high orbit around the unknown moon. When you try to take this information and reference it to the old records but where you expected to find those you find empty files, it seems whoever purged your system really wanted you to have no clue of your position or what you were protecting as you assume that was your purpose all things considered. You turn to your existing SCD pondering what order to give it, the second SCD nearing completion you will soon have two drones to set about constructing whatever you wish.

Well how about building some autolabs on the moon. Also, if possible you should try to build supporting solar panels

Also, perhaps we should attempt to relocate ourselves to the moon? It would be less conspicuous and probably tougher, especially if we reinforce the areas we've scooped out.

I would suggest building a defense platform for very basic defense, then start making solar panels and mines in order to get ourselves a nice income of materials for the lab we will surely build in the near future.
I dunno how effective will building a lab right away be, but if you guys want it that badly... just remember it needs power to operate, and I missed any information about our current generator load status if any has been given.

Good, self-sustaining, power core. Unless I read that wrong.

Just as a note, it's an orbital lab. It might not work as well on the ground as it would  in space.

same for our massive sattelite. Pretty decent chance it would collapse under it's own weight.
