The way I see it, there are four possible situations for the alignment of others relative to us:
* WH is good, T is evil - this is the situation which the WH have relayed to us. I'm not sure how factual the statement is, given that AIs don't trust humans for good reason. Since we only know what they told us, it could or could not be true
* WH is evil, T is good - this is the inverted situation from what we were told. It is possible that we are believing the evil side, which justifys why AIs don't trust humans.
* WH and T are both good - "good" is a relative term, but both sides might be doing things which we approve of. If this is the case, we should remain fully neutral to the engagements. For instance, we could be a weapon supplier for both sides, which still makes us neutral.
* WH and T are both evil, 3rd party is good - remembering the "plot" of Myst, both WH and T might be evil with respect to us and each other, similar to Sirus and Achenar. However, a third party like Atrus might be the actual good side of the situation.
I can't make any judgements for who is good or bad without knowing what T says. Probably a good way to do this is to inform both parties we are going to ask the other party information relating to alliance, cross-inform the parties of what was stated (tell WH what T said, vice versa), ask for a response, and figure from there.
