Legend of Eisenwald

So, I don't really have much to say about the game - and that's because I would like to try it out, but I'm not sure if it's worth it. I was wondering if anybody tried it already? There is no topic about it here, and it seems like something B12'vers could like, so maybe someone is just lurking, being too lazy to start a topic? ;)

I've been eyeing it for a while too.  Any impressions or mini-reviews would be appreciated.

Isn't this mount & blade with magic and turn based battles?

Isn't The Sims Mount & Blade with houses and Sims?

Would also like a recommendation/review if possible, seems my kind of thing but then this type of game is rarely executed well.

Doesn't seem like M&B except in the over-world map. It's turn-based combat on hexes.

Also seems far too linear for my taste.

-Campaign
-Missions
-Pick one of three archtype
-only partially different between archtypes.

Yeah, I'm not biting.  Might be a great game, but not really my cup of tea anymore.

Hello,

I was searching for Bay12 super long indepth topic, only found that one... Somehow necro, but...

The game is Pay Waht You Want for some days : http://www.humblebundle.com/jumbo-bundle-8

Just tried the game, only out of curiosity. I installed it with Steam through PlayOnLinux, and it works quite well (one error popup but if i ignore it i can play). I thought i may just try game 15-20 minutes.

Already 4 hours past...

Great positive surprise, it feels like an excellent mix between HOMM and Battle Brother. You might want to give it a try now ?

The expansion seems good (a new campaign), but the November standalone seems not so good. However it's more sandbox, so maybe good to try. It crashes on WINE for me, unlike Legend of Eisenwald, so i will stick Legend of Eisenwald it for now.
