Haha I remember when DFVD came out on valentines.  Almost skipped seeing my girlfriend to get my hands on it... almost.  Im starting to feel that the next release is going to see the two year mark, which I wouldn't mind.  No gf holding me back this time!

That was the only day I ever skipped school.

I first tried out firebreathing. Then I updated Fortbent to 0.34.01 with interactions. Then I made the DBZ mod. It was a good day.

Can anyone say quickly what changes this new update will be?

I just don;t have the time to look through 150 dev post paragraphs, I have not really played since 2012

or where can I find a neat presentation of expected changes?

The most anticipated features for me are of course movement/attack speed split which leads to a very different combat behavior, as well as ability to climb/sneak in adventure mode and general adventure mode improvements (sneaking, tracking, an armed veteran would be no longer mobbed by children on the street etc). That, and ability to retire and reclaim fortresses while they are still running makes Dwarf Fortress/Adventure mode combo SO MUCH BETTER. I mean you can now leave your fortress any time, go out with adventurer and find some artifact, bring it to your fortress, reclaim and continue to play with said artifact!

Or do the reverse thing.
Make an artifact, retire the fort, start an adventurer, get into your fortress and get the artifact!

From the new video Tarn is hoping to get the next version released by the end of the year. Together with the monthly report not suggesting that a release is likely this month, this suggests that Tarn hopes to release the game in December!

Now that doesn't mean it'll happen, but it might  :D
