Well, if being undead would make him count as not a dwarf any more, Forgath isn't going to get killed by him anyway.

Not that I think he is undead. What makes you think that?

His eyes seem to glow, and he seems cursed by dark magics... I think he's alive, though.  Particularly since undead don't have to breathe, and it was implied that the rope in his throat was asphyxiating him.  (Though it's possible it was only stopping his spellcasting, or maybe he still reacts to such things as he would have in life).

Even if Kore is undead it doesn't mean he isn't still a dwarf. Undead is a creature template, like humanoid, sylvan, infernal/celestial/etc., and it's entirely possible for a single creature to have countless different templates.

Though his curse may have the power to mess around with his racial attributes, since it is clearly capable of corrupting his class.
