New one is up.  Here comes Kore.  I'm scared.

The cursed scourge of the realm? The last of the Greyhill paladins? That Kore? Oh no.

So more information on what Kore actually is: he's cursed. That would explain the evil actions: if he was cursed to follow an evil alignment unwillingly, that might explain why he hasn't lost his paladin powers, and enforces 'good' in the most evil way possible.

Though I don't know too much about D&D, so it may be a god would strip a paladin's powers even if they unwillingly became evil - so that theory would be shot. I thought it was just if a paladin consciously fell to from their alignment as a result of their actions.

I'm not even too sure of how it works, since all my DMs have enforced this rule in different ways.

I remember one who let a paladin keep his divine abilities after brutally murdering an innocent shopkeeper under the rule that as long as the paladin can justify his actions, he can keep his powers.

But then there was another DM who stripped a paladin of his powers after failing to protect innocent civilians during a keep raid, despite trying his damnedest.

E: I have no examples of a cursed or mind-controlled paladin, though.

Okay, now I have to ask the obligatory question because of your response: did you have something to do with this curse, Xantalos?

And now comes the real HERO OF THE IMPERIUM.
I may have already created a Warhammer 40000-flavored Kore analogue for personal purposes :P.

Instead of the normal paladin non-spell class features, he has an energy shield, a ridiculously overpowered set of power armor, and an ability that lets him punch things hard enough to send them flying hundreds of feet away. His chosen weapons are the power fist and the flamethrower.

Basically. I really liked those Dreadnoughts in Dawn of War.

So it was you. Muradin will be avenged!

Anyway, if Forgath knows who Kore is, that may imply that the two are not one and the same. Unless Kore is an alt-Forgath who succeeded before our bunch but got spit out in the wrong Universe, or even went there on purpose...

You leave the Dungeon Forgath and co. went to at the same moment you entered. So it alt-forgath went in much earlier and got spat out in the wrong universe, that would explain it. I think it's pretty certain our Forgath won't become Kore, because he has the invincible beard now.

Maybe Kore was like that before the Dungeon, and purposely went to a different Universe because he purged everything that matched his definition of "evil" in his previous world? It'd explain his massive power (he's epic level from all that tasty genocide-xp), though once again being the last of the greyhall paladins says he was part of a group in this world and then all of them (but, possibly, him) died. That would suggest he's from this world, because I doubt any other paladins (from Forgath's reaction) would let him join their group.

Maybe its just all dwarves look the same and theres no actual connection. Thunt's just trolling us.
