Welp, update in 2 hours. Time to see how that prophecy thing goes over.

'When the serpent becomes your prey, friends will become enemies and love will fuel hate'
Or something like that.

It seems fairly straightforward to me, honestly.

The serpent would be Kin, for obvious reasons. Which Kin is an open question.

'Friends will become enemies' - also obvious. Especially due to Forgath's and Kin's unwillingness to fight the goblins.

'Love will fuel hate' - again, Kin and Minmax

Forgath being killed by another dwarf - I'm fairly certain the dwarf will be Kore. Probably Forgath defending the goblins and Kore doing his Knight Templar routine.

We are doomed. It's just that whatever is going to kill us all just happens to be, from a scientific standpoint, pretty frickin' awesome.

I tried looking into what that THING near the end of the Well of Darkness was.

Found out it's called a Lesser Finger Horror. Let me repeat that. LESSER Finger Horror. That thing is horrifying.

If I ever run into one in a game session, however unlikely, I'm running.
Hahahahahaaaaaaaaaaaaa!

I'm preparing to run a D&D game ;D.

I wonder what a GREATER finger horror would be like. Most likely, I would be happier not knowing the answer.

It's probably the thing that makes lesser finger horrors.

Let me put it this way, you have to pass 3 consecutive DC16 Fort saves to not die from touching a lesser one. DC19 if it touches you.

It's a glass cannon though.

E: Oh right, its stat sheet:
Spoiler: Horrifying (click to show/hide)
Better than ropers, I guess. When my DM sprung ropers on us, only one person didn't end up in negative hit-points. We only won because the cleric was working overtime, and our barbarian had some feat that gave him bonuses for every ally that went down in combat.

If the Greater one exists, you have to pass fortitude saves to not die from being in the same plane.

Ropers are awesome.

My favorite trick: Greater Invisibility and Polymorph into a Roper. 6 touch attacks with a 50 foot range each round for DC 18 Fortitude or take 2d8 Strength damage. For bonus points, share the invisibility and polymorph spell with your familiar for an extra 6 attacks each round.

Ah, I see. Misread it the first time, thought it said you had to pass three saves to cure yourself. I'm too used to being hit with curses like that. It isn't a proper game in my group if the DM doesn't off someone. Forcibly, if need be.

Ah, that stat sheet. It's horrifying all right. I think this is the "fixed" version, but even so, it's a great example of how not build a monster. :P It caused quite the controversy when it was first revealed, specially in its first version. :P
