At least do it anonymously. We don't want to draw any backlash back to here.

Eh, they seem nice. I decided against it.

I actually ended up bringing up DF and a few people sounded interested.

Thunt twittered something about a blog post explaining why he abandoned us tomorrow.
Then he's going back to work on it.
Yay!

It confused me when the blog section of the comic site had a post from Danielle saying "this is not the blog" which made me think Thunt had another blog somewhere. After much searching I suspect she just mean "this is not that specific blog post you're all waiting for."

His tweets are very worrying:

This blog is kinda terrifying to write. I've been struggling with it for the last few days and I'm still struggling now.

I hope he's okay. That picture is nasty, even by Goblin's standards.

So Thunt disappeared because he was possessed by an eldritch being?

DAMNIT XANTALOS WHERE'S MY UPDATE?

My prediction is he's going through feelings of worthlessness, hating his own work, but enough people have told him that they love it regardless of how he feels about it OR he recognizes that this is still a way to do art and make money, and in the end he's willing to keep doing it.

I've been following this as well.  My first thought is that he was attacked by a bear.  Thunt has a genius for producing nightmares in his drawings.  I note that the twitter pic included the mercy kill of an owlbear in the background.  I did not recognize the other strip in the background, but I think it was the battle in the sewers.

Hoping that his family is all right.

My bet is that his comic is fuelled in part by his latent depression and that he cornered himself in an insanely dark story which crushes him and that he can't stand anymore. In the last story arcs he destroyed most of the small parts of light he had left. Chief, Minax and Kin's relation, he may have been planning Forgath's death,... Don't forget that he is the creator of this story, he lives it more than us.

Judging from his twitter he had a breakdown of some sort and he's beating himself up about it.
Dammit Thunt you don't have to do that, though I know it feels like you have to. People will understand.

He's tweeting again and seems to be recovering!

Dat picture though. It's probably really psychologically significant, but damn does it look cool.
