It's ambitious certainly. Hope they do well, but they've got a pretty hefty goal in mind.

Good lord that’s one hell of a pedigree. How the hell did this happen?

Know what, I’m not questioning it.

Well, certainly can't fault the project for not having talented voice actors on board. Although I do worry about the ability of Thunt to do both this and actually continue the comic.

Yeah, this does seem to be an ongoing theme with him...

But it doesn't actually look like he's involved with the animation and such. Story most certainly, and probably at least consulted on the scripts, but I think he's primarily still working on the comic, seeing as how they made sure to state that the series is gonna be 'based on' the comic.

Update.  Mercurial, but update.

And yeah, wow, those voice actors.  And the consequential goal amount.  Seems ambitious, but it's a good comic and I hope it pans out.
Though to be completely honest, I'm not that excited for the result.  I still remember seeing a glimpse of the animated Dilbert series, and it temporarily ruining the strip for me because they didn't match what I'd been imagining (yes, I'm "old").
Less of an issue now, since I don't bother making voices for most webcomic characters.  Homestuck being an exception, heh, since it's so fun to read those out loud.

Those contribution levels tho

Funny spirit badger sound effect there.

Is it a honey badger or a North American or Eurasian badger? Because those honey badgers are badass.

Yeah. Ambitious. Thunt isn't exactly known for his stability consistency... so I don't exactly want him going 'Pictures for sad children' on me.
Although yeah, the lineup is all pretty A-grade.

The campaign appears to have moved over to Indiegogo, with a lower target funding deal. Proof-of-concept deal.

Welp.

We haven't seen main universe Kin in quite a while, is this her? Or is it another alternate universe version?

Or are they not in that maze anymore? I've honestly completely forgotten at this point.

The many-universes maze was a different maze. They completed it, got the thing, and minmax used it to teleport to the goblins. Now they're in another maze, which has much weaker theming than that one tbh. This comic REALLY likes dungeon crawling.

I hope that Kin came here explicitly to murder minmax, because then we've have the exact same plot twist happen in this and oots at the same time.
Really, seems like a pretty good question. Why is she here? wasn't she going to go off and deal with snakepeople stuff or something?

I'm sure that we'll get the explanation, and that it will be horrible, and then Kore will show up, and that will be even more horrible.  And I'm still going to read it, because Thunt's just so damned good at turning the knife.

When the serpent becomes his prey, friends become enemies, and love will fuel hate.
