I was going for something simple, like Bowtie requested.

@Remuthra: Elven wine exists, but is disapproved of my priests.
@Weirdsound: Rules for getting into and out of armour are seen here.
Enchanting shields/armour makes them give more AC as well.
Paladins don't need to use UMD to use wands of spells on the Paladin spell list. This is the case even if the Paladin can't personally cast any spells.
Saddles cost 10 gold, or 20 if you want a military saddle with extra stability.
@Rolepgeek: Semi-racial is fine.

I should point out, since I haven't yet looked too closely at my sheet, that I do already have a Wand of CLW.  More is unlikely to be wasted as there's a lot of us, but we do have a few backup healers already.

"Armor: Yes/No".

Like Spell Resistance, Save, etc. Heck, less complex than Saves.

You mean a note in each spell whether its effect is reduced by armor, right?

I don't see why.
...You're not buying into my euphemism theory, are you?

That would be the simplest way, yes.

When it's ready, of course. This sort of thing takes a lot of work, especially starting up. I'm still working on the basic overview for the counterpart I'm doing.

It depends. Some DMs can run a game on the fly with basically no prep. But it's usually good to plan stuff out a little, and create a big-picture kind of framework. As in, a one-sentence description of a dungeon. Other DMs plan a LOT ahead of time. In exchange for being more prepared, you spend some time working on things you may never use. It's a tradeoff, and DMs with different strengths will prefer something comfortable along that prep axis.

Ok, good. That means I have enough time to think about what spells I'm gonna prepare, as well as my marching order stuff. Can you guys look over my character to see if everything is right?

On that note, my marching order is second from the back, and if I'm attacked close up I summon an animal to fight alongside my companion. My augment summoning should give them a boost.
