Just out of curiosity, could you use a summoned animal as a mount?

After Weirdsound, we are not accepting any more players

Zako and Weirdsound are in, pending accepted character sheets. Everyone who posted after that is out/waitlisted. A dozen players is already more than I'm sure I can handle.

@Weirdsound: Go ahead and make a character.
@Zako: Divine Metamagic is on the veto list, on the grounds that it makes a cleric who buffs himself strictly better than a fighter or barbarian. You may want to reconsider your feat selections.
@Giglamesh: Your hit points should be 26, since d8 hit dice give an average of 4.5 hit points, not 4.

Does this mean I'm wait listed or able to make a char, since I posted before them?

Considering that's a paladin thing, yes.

That sounds awesome, actually.

Especially if you can convince the GM to let the elephant trample as you charge.
If I can get ahold of a tame elephant and a Huge lance, that's about all I need. The best part, though, is it does somewhere approaching 100 damage.

I'd probably debate the effectiveness of a charge in jungle conditions, though, given mounts cannot charge through rough terrain....

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Tis why I chose the warhammer the size of a person as my main attack instead.

You just have to get a mount that can charge through the rough terrain.

So, I half-want to make a scout who dual-wields Small Glaives to get reach with one-handed weapons, and become a Dervish...but I also kinda want to be a Crusader Tank, since as far as I can tell we have a scout in the ranger but our melee folks are offensive not defensive.

We have lots of hp. Does that help?

Not to prevent the sahuagin from jumping into the squishy wizards...

I provide those same squishy wizards with 1 bonus AC and DR 1/magic.

They aren't quite as squishy as they originally seem.

(Also, they can punch for 1d3 bludgeoning + 1d6 fire.  Or, well, with a knife if they don't want to provoke an AoO.)

Why in the world would I do that? Reliable 2d6 damage all day makes for short encounters :P

4d8+8+1d6 damage.

Yeah, you're probably going to appreciate the other Bard more than me.  +1 to hit is a little bit better than a kind of small increase in damage.  But every other melee will love me!
