Er. I am interested in making a bardy class. However, I only played D&D twice about 10 years ago. Has anyone got any bardy advice?

Basic idea is to be a traveling ethnologist/folk song collector with a rapier. Or something.

There's 13 people asking to go so far, so we're 5 overburdened.

I imagine try-outs (or similar) will be had, so pick a class/idea that is less chosen and more interesting.
Hm...some kind of psion, maybe?

Or maybe I should wait for the next game. Or GM one...

I still plan on running a game, so you can apply for that when I get it up.

Orgarr the Mule (Unfinished)

I can't seem to see it. Is this happening to anyone else or just me?

Edit: Is this even a link?

Hmmm... Apparently I made some sort of copying error here. One moment.

And fixed.

Ok, well, I don't really know what I'm doing and have no more time today, and it seems to take ages, so I might give up.

If you can't think of anything to get in a feat slot, Improved Initiative is always a good choice, in my opinion. It helps you stay up there on the turn order.

Dammit.

Are any roles still open? Or at least, undercovered? We've got a cleric and a druid and maybe a bard, so we probably won't need a healer.
We've had a couple mages, so blasting's okay.
We've got a ranger and a barbarian, IIRC, plus that pack-mule, so we probably don't need more meatshields.
Do we have a rogue, maybe?

My char is fragile as a butterfly, actually. He's not going into melee of his own choice. :P

I think we could use somebody truly dedicated to defense with heavy armor and a shield-paladin, or defense oriented fighter.

Rogues open too, of course. I'm the only skill monkey ATM, and most of my skills are party survival and perception+general athletics.

Remember, you need spell focus:Conjuration feat to qualify for augment summoning. It's not terribly great by itself, but them's the breaks.

Anyway, your sheet looks fine. You got 24 skill points to spend, too. Also, I'd buy a shield, dagger and something to range with-like a bow, sling or whatnot.

So with both those feats any animals i summoned would get that bonus, right?

Also, why do I need a dagger?

And presenting our fledgling char list.

Dwarmin/  Eli the Semi-Elemental sort of Ranger
Nerjin/ Holdron the Oldbarian
Remuthra/ Orgarr Snowcrusher the Muling
Lawas/ Stefaen Arbury, the Bard who needs no instrument
Gilgamesh/ Ashii-Karn the Ice Cold Witch
Maniac/ Maru the Catling Wizard

@Gilg: Mrmrmrm...I don't know if the spell focus would apply to summons, tho it would make sense. GM decision. But the augment would apply to all of them, yes.

As before, if you want me to bring anything, let me know. I have plenty of extra encumbrance and gold, as intended.

Still a work in progress and I'd rather make her be an intelligent cat but we'll see if Grek allows that.

If he doesn't allow it, you could just make your halfling very furry and opinionated.

@Dwarmin: Yes. Food/Water/Ammo/Weight will be tracked. Your sheet seems fine.
@Nerjin: That sheet seems fine.
@Kansa: I have no problem with you playing a Wu Jen.
@Remuthra: Flaws and traits are not being used. Sorry. That being said, Half Giant is LA 0 in this campaign, so you should have one more class level.
@Mainiac: An awakened cat is not an appropriate adventurer because A] it is Tiny sized, and B] it lacks thumbs. That being said, you can roleplay it so that the "familiar" is actually the one in charge and wears the pointy hat in their relationship.
@Tryrar: Half-sized wands of CLW are fine. Other wands may be less available in non-standard sizes. Additionally, your bard needs to select some spells.
@TealNinja: You round up half dice. So 1d8 goes to 5, but 2d8 only goes to 9. Only things that are available online are available for play. If you can link to the Marshal, I will let you play it. Otherwise, no.
@Lawastooshort: Your character seems fine, except for the skills. You get way more skills than you put down.
@GiglameshDespair: Aside from the Spell Focus: Conjuration thing Dwarmin pointed out and your lack of skill choices, it seems fine. Just keep in mind that you get bonus spells per day for high wisdom. Account for those.
