I think it was this spell guys-

http://www.dandwiki.com/wiki/SRD:Burning_Hands

I dunno how many FRA's it will take, cause we don't know how many items are burning...but I'd say all us on the boat should all help out there.

I also love how the monkey using a spell has made our entire team go berserk.
Question.  If someone Energy Substitutes Burning Hands (say, with Cold), does it still set things on fire?
By RAW? I think so.

I just remembered to take my 1HP off my sheet. How are HP regained later without using spells or potions?

I have a vague recollection that it is by resting, no?

With a full night's rest(8 hours), a character recovers 1hp per char level. (Pg. 145 of the players handbook)

Note, that if you go full bed rest(24 hours) you can recover twice that amount.

No. I suppose there are similarities, but I'm fairly certain angry birds doesn't let me charge into a battalion of knights with a car made of circular saws.

Also note, that if you have someone with the heal skill assisting this, and they make a DC 15 check, you can double these amounts

Yeah, hp recovery is horrendously slow.

I usually houserule that to double the amounts. That way, a cleric can still reasonably heal up people at the end of a day(when he's likely out of spells), while not being unbalanced

I got good news for you then: I've taken 5 points in the Heal skill (since it's a prereq for Radiant Servant), so if I just Take 10 on a heal check for your injuries, you can get the healing bonus. Also, I can make sure you never fall below half health after combat, so that relieves some pressure.

Yeah, your welcome. ;)

Careful Zako, the monkeys might here hear you through the thread. :P

Also, question-the rapid paced nature of the game is quite enjoyable, but it also sours RP interactions a bit. I mean, obviously we'd rather be fighting most of the time-and technically combat turns only last six seconds...but slowing down the game for that would be bad.

So, if I made a thread solely for RP-also journals and whatnot-would anyone use it but me?

It would be for longer conversations-like, for example, Eli ad Steffan carousing the night before the first journey-not spot discussions of in-combat talk.

I would use it when I get time, yes (some days I just don't, and not because I'm too busy writing ladypigeon diaries, and then I have to post from my phone, which is a pain and results in short posts).

Hell, if I can use it to talk IC with other people without the issue of timezones pressing down so much, that's great by me!

And I'm not worried about those monkeys. I should be able to take anything they throw at me. That and I can heal myself if I must.
