Cromwell Jackson let out a furious roar as he charged his target. Brewmaster Yoohoo, distracted by several un-named mooks, seemed the perfect target and indeed he was for he remained unaware of Cromwell’s charge all the way up to the point that Cromwell tripped over the halberd left behind by Berry Smiles and went summersaulting past the brewmaster.

“Drunk on the battle-field? You’re my kind of man!” Yoohoo shouted as he killed the mooks harassing him. He briefly considered attacking Cromwell but saw a much more interesting, and handsome, target.

The Handsome Stranger was, handsomely and effectively, warding off the blows of both Axe and Raalup the Great one. Raising his shield, bearing his handsome likeness, he, handsomely, blocked the, much less handsome than him, axe of Axe.

“I will kill ugly man!”

“Truly your barbaric tastes cannot properly appreciate my dashing good looks.” The Handsome Stranger said in his soothing voice.

“Oh will you shut up!” Raalup shouted as he thrust his halberd forward lopping off a piece of the Handsome Stranger’s luxurious mane. That is it would have if the Handsome Stranger had not easily, not to mention handsomely, deflected the blow with his shield.

“You are no match for me I’m afraid. Once you had the opportunity, but now… I’m afraid not.”

“Maybe they aren’t, but I am!” Brewmaster Yoohoo shouted happily as he entered the fray himself. But even together none of them appeared able to defeat, or even touch, the Handsome Stranger.

“Who in town but was she, who is quite as beautiful as me.” The Handsome Stranger sung to himself.

It was then that Axe hatched a cunning, especially for himself, strategy “You are good looking.”

“I am.”

“You look better without shield blocking face.”

“I do.”

“Me see?”

“Of course, I always love to assist a fan.” Lowering his shield however was a nearly fatal, though none-the-less handsome, mistake as Axe swung his battle-axe at the Handsome Stranger’s head. Though the Handsome Stranger dodged just in time he almost wished he hadn’t.

“My hair!” He cried out as he looked at his beautiful mane that now littered the ground. Reaching up he felt what was left. “You… You cut my hair! The source of my beauty!”

“Will cut more than that!” Axe threatened as he approached the near-to-sobbing man.

“No! Don’t look at me! I’m… I’m…” The Handsome Stranger caught his reflection in Axe’s axe. He was… It was… “No… Impossible! I’m… Even more Handsome!” Feeling invigorated enough to barely jump out of Axe’s swing he was rewarded with a sickening thump.

“What?” The Handsome Stranger asked as he looked at his undead adversary.

Alex Shater stood over the, still yet again, body of Axe “And you smell awful too!” he shouted.

“No! What have you done!” The Handsome Stranger cried out “He was the perfect stylist! He somehow made me look even better!”

“He was trying to kill you!” Alex was rather annoyed at this man who, he had to admit, while handsome was rather grating.

“All beauty has its price!”

“And yours will be your life traitor!” Sir Hansen shouted as he finally entered the fray. Unluckily his entire time cowering behinds shields and parries left him ill-equipped to fight Alex Shater who deflected the blow. Though it nearly caused him to drop his weapon to do so due to the force of the attack. Alex had been battling for what felt like hours while Sir Hansen felt as fresh as The Handsome Stranger smelled.

The battle had entered its final stages. The nobles eagerly watched to see which army would prevail...

I see a +4 on two of my rolls against attackers, but not on the third. What happened to the +4 there?

Sorry, missed it. Lemme... Oh.... Oh damn it! Of course it was on the one that actually mattered... Consider the damage dealt to you moot. I'll fix that here in a moment although the flavor will stay the same.

I know some weapons ignore light armor, though ... club, I think.

Wait, if Alex was busy killing Axe, how come he had a +5 as if he was defending?
