I have iron here on my deed. For those that are rowing over to Milkrun, it would be a good idea for  you to mine 100kg of lumps or so to take with you. Help you guys get started over there.

I'd like to thank you again Calypsoi for letting us slum out in your place for a while.

I would probably be willing to spend a bit of money on this game again since it seems we have enough interest in it once more. Should we go start a new topic? We do need a list of all the player names somewhere.

Depends.

I think I'll make a run to the more populated shores at around 1600 GMT (depending on iron availability of course)

p.s. all sorts of supplies will be welcome - be it QL1 tools, iron (there is a shortage of small nails at the moment), tar, clay (I know its just a small walk), or whatsnot. If you build your own rowboat (its a half hour ride after all).

Here's a oracle bay img for those wondering.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The other 2/3rds of the village is mostly uneven forest. Need a bit of work to turn all that into flat land.
Spoiler (click to show/hide)

The size is about 60x60 approx, which is fairly large.
Also, since calypsoi is now part of Bay12, technically Oracle Bay is B12. :p

One - of - us
One - of - us

Oracle also has a road surrounding it connecting to the main highway. It's still in progress but while I'm screwing around trying to make a boat the others are hard at work getting the actual settlement... settled.

hmm...I think after my little Wildstar trial I will give Wurm Online a new try after work.

Is there a website or other list of bay12-players who I can contact after tutorial? Or is at all time someone on in the area?
Do we (=bay12) now have one settlement or is it split up?

How dangerous is Xanadu (in PVP) at the moment?
I love to build things but I hate to be robbed ;)

Xanadu is on the freedom servers so there is no PVP

Then first thing after the tutorial will be a highway-walk to the north. (if the right spawn will happen)

Make sure you select the Linton spawn. If you look north at Linton, or at the hill just north of it, you should see a huge peak sort of to the north, north-westish. If you go straight the where the base of it would be on the right side you'll end up pretty much where we are now, but I think if you just head directly north of Linton you'll find a road that will get you there faster.

You need to make sure you're part of the settlement before you do that though =p

@andrea
I'm Stormhead on Xanadu.

sorry for the spider but I thought I had lost him :(

I'm not sure if I should play my character further on. It seems this old char is too experienced for getting any starter kits. I had no tent or such. And now after dying I hadn't a compass which hinders traveling much.

And I don't find these street or oracle bay...but I'm in a wood and see a herd of unicorns. It's nice to see some animals that don't hurt me :)

Losing all my "old" stuff isn't nice too and I think I will never get to this dying place again :/

don't worry, I am used to having spiders running around my house. I would have survived, hadn't I disconnected.

The packed dirt road my house sits on actually leads to oracle bay

I will see about playing around with the deed planner tool sometime soon to kind of let people know the ideas I have for the deed. Please note its ideas, and open to suggestion/change.

Here is a list of tasks that need to be done currently:

1. We need to cut down all trees that are NOT Oak, Cedar, Willow. Please also try not to cut any bushes except thorn bushes, please remove thorns.
2. If you see an area I have started leveling, level it out towards the water, but try not to affect the downhill slope at the waters edge, trying to give a semi natural buffer. Will be planting Oleander and Lavender on these slopes.
3. Your personal spaces, anywhere to the southeast of the deed token, pick out a 5x5 area, level it off, and mark it off somehow so people know it is taken. Be it with fences, or hedges, housing whatever, something to let people know you have staked your claim. This area will be yours to do as you please. A little honor system here, any stuff on these plots that is not your plot please do not touch without asking. Make sure your house has your name on it so we know whos plot it is.
4. Mining, can always mine, would be good to explore the mine more and find more metal veins. A 3x3 grid patern is best for finding veins. You mine east in a direction, and north for 3 tiles, another path east, repeat.
5. Foraging, fill up the food storage bin and the BSB that is beside the token with stuff from foraging and botanizing. When I get my hot food cooking up high enough I will make a barrel there to keep meals in for everyone to enjoy, but I need veggies. If you get meat from animals or monsters, you can throw it into a campfire, or the forge, when it comes out cooked and cools off you can put it into the food storage bin for safe keeping (note this does not work with filets only whole meat, so fishing does not help here).

That is all for now, just work on your skills, have some fun, and let me know if you have any questions.

Regards,
Calypsoi

P.S. If you can catch me in game I can invite you to village and you will get an option to teleport to the village.
