I don't want to advertise for this game but it is cheaper, and to say that you can play it for free is silly

You can play it for free, you can even get premium for free. People are buying 1k Dirt for 1s on Elevation. But yeah Life is Feudal doesn't make it for me, sorry.

Wurm4Life, Wurm is waiting, We are waiting.

Alright, I guess I'm back into this. I checked and my old village is still active, so presumably my stuff is around.
Once I actually catch someone online, anyway ;P
I'd be sending my main and my Fo/Vynora priests to.. I guess Xanadu? And potentially a fourth alt to Affliction. This is how I Wurm.

Right, because spending multiple days doing nothing but grinding dirt is free >_>

Yep. It's free. Boring, but free.

No. Time = money.  Free = no cost.  Spending time is a cost.

It's a real problem that so many developers don't realize that.

I have always hated that statement...because it is not true...unless you are skipping work to grind on Wurm or skipping some other form of generating money to do it.

I like to keep it simple

Time = Time...and that alone is valuable enough on it's own...certainly more valuable than grinding for ages

When I was starting to make chainmail, people were talking how to price things they make.  People claimed to sell an item for $20 because it took them an hour to make, and this is handcrafted items not minimum wage, and to mark up a bit for market and fees and such.  The claim was "If you spend an hour working on this, then you should sell it for at least $8 because that's minimum wage."  No one mentions that you can be doing this while watching TV or listening to audiobooks or talking to your girlfriend or whatever.  AND that's like saying that any time you spend doing ANYTHING needs to be balanced against how much money you could be making if you were working at the time, in which case how do you find the time to write an article/forum post if you could be spending that time working at mcdonalds and making more money?!

If you have the free time to spend dozens of hours sitting at a computer digging dirt on Wurm but not enough money to buy premium, then get a job. You are literally doing something mind numbingly boring for what could be 5 dollars a day. Get a job for 7 dollars an hour and you are not wasting your time, and thus not wasting your money. Hell, go mow someone's yard for 5 bucks...

It is a true statement because there are a million things you can do to get 5 dollars that are faster and less boring then clicking on a patch of dirt in a game for hours.

Therefore nothing is free because everything takes time.

Where's the breathing market? I want in on that BEFORE anyone else gets in. Gotta make mah monopolies.
I really don't get the problem with digging a lot. It doesn't take too long, it takes about an hour to dig 1k Dirt.

If you don't like that metric, become a priest.
I made 1.5s from ~45 seconds of actions the other day.

Let me guess, to dig quickly or become a priest, you need to have trained up your levels first. Which requires premium in the first place.
